The Warrior and His Armour Class

The Warrior (Savaşçı) is Metin2's most resilient class — and that is reflected in his equipment. Warriors wear exclusively heavy metal armour that offers maximum physical defence. No other class can absorb as much damage. This makes him the first choice in dungeons and PvP as the frontline fighter.

It's important to understand that there are two fundamentally different Warrior builds, each prioritising different armour bonuses. The Body Warrior relies on raw strength and defence. The Mental Warrior uses powerful buff skills and needs different stat priorities — particularly Intelligence and Mana regeneration.

Armour Bonuses: What the Warrior Needs

Body Warrior — Priorities

The Body Warrior is all about dealing as much physical damage as possible whilst being able to take a beating. The most important armour bonuses:

  • Physical Defence: The foundation of every Warrior armour build
  • HP (Hit Points): More health means more survivability
  • Strength (STR): Directly increases physical attack value
  • Critical Hit Chance: For burst damage in short fights
  • Attack Speed: More attacks per second means more DPS

Mental Warrior — Priorities

The Mental Warrior buffs himself and the group with powerful auras and shouts. His armour should prioritise different bonuses:

  • Intelligence (INT): Increases the effectiveness of buff skills
  • Maximum Mana and Regeneration: More Mana for more buffs
  • Resistances: For dungeon content where magical damage is frequent
  • HP: Even the Mental Warrior must be able to take a hit

Level 1–40: Laying the Foundations

In the early game, simple plate armour and chain mail are the standard. These are easily obtained through normal farming or bought cheaply on the player market. Don't invest significant resources here — the equipment changes quickly.

Level 40–75: Wyvern and Phoenix

From Level 40, the Wyvern set becomes interesting for Warriors. It offers a good balance of defence and hit points. From Level 55, the Phoenix set comes into play, specialised in either attack or defence depending on the variant. This is also where the plus system starts to matter — +5 or +7 on a good set already makes a noticeable difference.

Level 75–105: Dungeon Builds

In this range it's worth making the first serious investment in equipment. Armour with two or three bonus slots enables genuine build optimisation. Dungeon drops provide the best specimens — the Tigerghost Dungeon (from Lv.75) and the Nemere Dungeon (from Lv.90) are the main sources.

Level 105+: Endgame

The Serpent Armour is the coveted endgame set for all classes — including the Warrior. It offers maximum defence, multiple bonus slots, and strong resistance values. Players willing to invest the time can obtain the Serpent Armour without any premium spending through intensive farming in the Snake Temple.

Combining Armour and Shield

One of the Warrior's unique traits: he is the only class that can make effective use of shields. Combined with heavy armour, this turns the Warrior into the ultimate tank. In dungeon and PvP contexts, this combination is unmatched for defensive builds.

However, bear in mind: playing with a shield means giving up the second weapon slot. For offensive Warrior builds, a dual-sword setup is often more powerful than sword and shield.

Upgrading Armour — Tips for Warriors

A good piece of Warrior armour is only the beginning. Through the plus system and alchemy stones, you can make it significantly stronger:

  • Plus System: Each plus level increases base defence. Plus +9 or higher is the target for endgame content.
  • Alchemy Stones: Add specific bonuses — ideal for the Warrior are stones with HP, Strength, or defence bonuses.
  • Protection Scrolls: Always use these on valuable armour before engaging the plus system.
  • Biolog Quests: The permanent stat bonuses from the Biolog Quests complement your armour and make a real difference.
