Metin2 offers five playable classes: Warrior, Ninja, Sura, Shaman and Lycan. Each class has its own weapons, specialisations and a unique combat style.

Warriors and Lycans fight mainly in direct melee combat. Ninjas rely on fast attacks with daggers or ranged combat with the bow. Suras combine sword fighting with magic. Shamans use spells, support and healing or enhancement effects.
