All 5 Classes Compared
Metin2 offers five unique playable classes that differ considerably in playstyle, weapon, strengths and weaknesses. Each class also offers several build options that differentiate the experience further. The table below provides a quick overview:
| Class | Main Weapon | Playstyle | Difficulty | Recommended For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior (Savaşçı) | Sword / Spear | Tank, Melee | Easy | Beginners, PvE |
| Ninja | Bow / Dagger | Ranged / Burst | Medium | Experienced players |
| Sura | Sword + Magic | Magic Melee | Medium–Hard | PvP, advanced players |
| Shaman (Şaman) | Bell | Healer / Buffer | Easy–Medium | Groups, support |
| Lycan | Claws | Shapeshifter | Medium | Unique playstyle |
Warrior (Savaşçı / Warrior)
The Warrior is the backbone of any group in Metin2 and simultaneously the most accessible class for newcomers. With high hit points, solid armour and reliable damage output, the Warrior can handle almost any situation. Fighting in melee with sword and shield or powerful two-handed weapons, the class excels equally at solo farming and group instances.
Body Warrior
The Body Warrior maximises physical damage through strong weapons and offensive equipment. This build is ideal for solo farming and efficient monster kills. The preferred weapon is a powerful two-handed sword or a spear with high attack value. The most aggressive, damage-heavy build the Warrior has to offer.
Mental Warrior
The Mental Warrior specialises in buffs and group support. In dungeons such as Tigerghost or Nemere, a Mental Warrior is often indispensable, as his buffs strengthen the entire group. Lower self-damage, but immense group value. The meta build for serious dungeoning.
Key Skills: Three-Way Cut, Intimidation, Combat Spirit, Berserk.
Ninja
The Ninja is the high-damage class par excellence. Fast, precise and lethal — but also more fragile than the Warrior. Ninjas master both ranged combat (bow) and melee (dagger) and can be played very differently depending on build. Those who love high damage numbers and dynamic gameplay will feel right at home with the Ninja.
Bow Ninja Build
With a bow, the Ninja keeps a safe distance from enemies and engages them from range. This build works particularly well in PvP situations, as positioning provides a considerable advantage. Recommended for less experienced Ninjas, since mistakes are less fatal when you can maintain distance.
Dagger Ninja Build
The Dagger Ninja throws himself into melee combat and deals enormous burst damage in a short space of time. Riskier, but extremely effective against single targets. Requires good timing and situational awareness. In 1v1 PvP, one of the strongest builds in the game.
Key Skills: Sharp Shot (bow), Shadow Claw (dagger), Dodge, Thunder Arrow.
Sura
The Sura is a unique hybrid class that combines the power of a swordsman with dark magic. The feel of playing Sura is entirely different from the Warrior or Ninja — more demanding, but highly rewarding for players willing to invest the time. The Sura is considered one of the strongest PvP classes in the game.
Blade Sura
The Blade Sura combines physical swordplay with magical attacks for a unique damage mix. High magic damage combined with solid melee output makes this build offensively very strong. Predominantly used for PvE farming.
Body Sura
The Body Sura focuses on defence, high resistances and buffs. In PvP this build is one of the strongest — few classes can outmatch a Body Sura in direct combat. More forgiving of mistakes thanks to the high defensive profile.
Key Skills: Dark Blade, Black Magic, Shield of Darkness, Blood Drain.
Shaman (Şaman / Shaman)
The Shaman is Metin2's support class — but not a pure healer. With the right build, the Shaman can dish out enormous elemental damage and is simultaneously absolutely indispensable in group instances. His weapon, the bell, is unique in the game and amplifies both healing abilities and magic damage.
Dragon Shaman
The Dragon Shaman focuses on elemental damage and is excellent for solo farming. High damage output through fire and lightning magic makes this build a strong choice for players who don't always want to play in groups.
Healer Shaman
The Healer Shaman is the heart of any dungeon group. With powerful healing spells and group buffs, a skilled Shaman can make a party nearly unstoppable. Mana management is the decisive skill factor here. In dungeons such as Nemere and Meley, often the most important class.
Key Skills: Healing, Blessing, Dragon Arrow, Divine Shield, Group Prayer.
Lycan
The Lycan is the newest class in Metin2 and offers a completely unique gameplay experience. As a shapeshifter between human and werewolf, the Lycan fights with claw attacks and possesses a wild, aggressive combat style. The class offers high mobility and strong burst damage in melee, but requires a solid understanding of the transformation mechanic for optimal performance.
The Lycan is particularly popular with players who want to try something new and unconventional. Once mastered, he is a serious threat in both PvE and PvP.
Tips for Choosing Your Class
Solo vs. Group Play
If you primarily want to play solo, the Warrior (Body build), Ninja (both builds) and Dragon Shaman are strong options. For group-focused play, Mental Warrior and Healer Shaman are indispensable.
PvP vs. PvE
In PvP, Body Sura, Dagger Ninja and Lycan dominate. In PvE farming, Body Warrior, Bow Ninja and Dragon Shaman are particularly efficient. Dungeons benefit most from Mental Warriors and Healer Shamans.
