Which skills are available depends on the chosen teaching. Suras can specialise in weapons or magic. Additionally, swords, armour, helmets, sockets, spirit stones, bonuses and upgrade levels determine the character's development.

PvP and PvM Orientation
The two Sura teachings have different focuses. The Weapon Sura is more strongly associated with PvM-oriented gameplay. The Black Magic Sura is more strongly associated with PvP-oriented gameplay.
This classification describes the general orientation of the teachings and does not replace specific skill allocation or equipment recommendations.
Weapons of the Sura
Suras use swords as weapons. With Sura weapons, the required level, base values, possible bonuses, sockets and upgrade level are important.
The weapon should not be viewed based on a single value alone. What is crucial is the interplay between weapon, skills, sockets, spirit stones, bonuses and upgrade level.
Armour of the Sura
Suras wear their own class-specific armour. This armour increases defence and is tied to specific level ranges.
Important properties of Sura armour are:
- required level
- defence value
- movement speed
- socket count
- fixed additional values
- possible additional bonuses
- upgrade level
- possible further development
Early armour has lower requirements and fewer customisation options. Higher armour has stronger base values, more sockets and sometimes fixed additional values.
Helmets of the Sura
Suras can wear their own class-specific helmets. These helmets differ from the helmets of other classes mainly in name, appearance and origin. The basic properties are comparable across classes for helmets of the same level. An exception is the bonus properties of level 80 helmets. Helmets cannot be improved with ores or spirit stones.
Important Sura helmets are:
| Level | Sura Helmet | Classification |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bloody Helmet | early Sura helmet with defence |
| 21 | Mocking Helmet | Sura helmet for lower level ranges |
| 41 | Castle Helmet | Sura helmet with higher defence value |
| 60 | Horned Helmet | Sura helmet with block |
| 80 | Magical Helmet | Sura helmet with MP absorb |
| 96 | Magic Dragon Helmet | higher-level Sura helmet with expanded upgrade levels |
| 100 | Dragon Plate Helmet | Sura helmet with attack value and magical attack value |
| 100 | Dragoon Plate Helmet | Sura helmet with skill resistance |
| 120 | Snake Hood | higher-level Sura helmet with random additional bonus |
For Sura helmets, the required level, defence value, fixed additional values, possible bonuses and upgrade level are particularly important. Unlike weapons and armour, helmets do not have spirit stone sockets. Therefore, they are not improved through spirit stones, but through their base values, fixed properties, bonuses and upgrade level.
Sockets in Sura Equipment
Sura weapons and Sura armour can have sockets. Spirit stones can be inserted into these sockets. Helmets are considered separately as they cannot be improved with spirit stones.
Sockets are an additional improvement level. Through spirit stones, equipment parts can receive additional values.
Spirit Stones
Spirit stones can be inserted into empty sockets and improve the item by the respective value of the stone.
When inserting a spirit stone, the attempt can fail. A stone fragment piece then remains in the socket. A stone fragment provides no active bonus and blocks the socket.
Bonuses on Sura Armour
In addition to base values, sockets and spirit stones, Sura armour can have additional bonuses. These bonuses are a separate improvement level.
| Bonus Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Weapon Defence | Sword Defence, Two-Hand Defence, Dagger Defence, Bell Defence, Fan Defence |
| Resistances | Arrow Resistance, Magic Resistance, Lightning Resistance, Wind Resistance, Fire Resistance |
| Character Values | Max. HP, Max. MP |
| Absorption | Damage is absorbed by HP, Damage is absorbed by MP |
| Combat Values | Attack Value, Spell Speed |
| Defensive Effects | Chance to reflect melee hits, chance to evade claw attacks |
Fixed values of armour and additional bonuses are different properties. An armour piece can have its own fixed values and additionally carry further bonuses.
Upgrade and Development
Sura equipment can be expanded through upgrade levels. Depending on the item, certain values increase.
With higher equipment pieces, an existing item can also serve as the basis for a new item. There are two different processes:
- An existing item is improved.
- An existing item is further developed into a new item.
Depending on the process, bonuses and spirit stones can be handled differently. Therefore, before major upgrades, it should be checked which item is used, which materials are needed and what happens to existing bonuses or spirit stones.
Important Basics for Sura
With the Sura, the interplay of several areas is important:
- chosen teaching
- matching skills
- swords as weapons
- matching Sura armour
- matching Sura helmets
- level requirements
- sockets and spirit stones on weapons and armour
- fixed values and additional bonuses
- equipment upgrade level
A Sura is not determined solely by a single skill or a single equipment value. What is important is the combination of class, teaching, skills and equipment.
