Metin2 Ninja Guide: Specialisations, Skills, Weapons and Equipment

The Ninja is a playable class in Metin2. He can specialise in Blade or Bow and thereby fight either with blade skills in close combat or with bow skills at range.

Summary: The Ninja has two specialisations: Blade and Bow. The Blade Ninja uses skills such as Ambush, Blade Whirl, Poison Cloud, Lightning Strike and Cloak. The Bow Ninja uses skills such as Repeated Shot, Fire Arrow, Poison Arrow, Arrow Rain and Feather Step. Ninja weapons include daggers, bows, arrows and one-handed swords. For equipment, class-specific armour, sockets, spirit stones, bonuses and upgrades are important.

What is the Ninja?

The Ninja is a class with two different specialisations. Blade stands for close combat skills, Bow for ranged combat skills.

Which skills are available depends on the chosen specialisation. In addition, weapons, armour, sockets, spirit stones, bonuses and upgrade levels determine the development of the character.

Ninja Specialisations

Specialisation Focus
Blade Close combat and blade skills
Bow Ranged combat and bow skills

The two specialisations have their own skills and should be considered separately.

Blade Ninja

The Blade Ninja uses close combat skills. These include direct attack skills, cloak and complementary skills.

Skill Classification
Ambush offensive blade skill
Blade Whirl offensive blade skill
Poison Cloud offensive blade skill with poison effect
Lightning Strike offensive blade skill
Cloak supportive blade skill
Creeping Poison complementary blade skill
Counter Skill complementary skill
Ambush Boost complementary skill for Ambush
Light Stars Champion-Level skill

Ambush is associated with attacks from behind and attacks from cloak. Cloak is also associated with Ambush and Lightning Strike. Poison Cloud can poison enemies.

Bow Ninja

The Bow Ninja uses ranged combat skills. These include direct bow attacks, arrow skills and supportive effects.

Skill Classification
Repeated Shot offensive bow skill
Fire Arrow offensive bow skill
Poison Arrow offensive bow skill with poison effect
Arrow Rain offensive bow skill
Feather Step supportive bow skill
Spark Strike offensive bow skill
Counter Skill complementary skill
Fire Arrow Boost complementary skill for Fire Arrow
Storm Shot Champion-Level skill

Feather Step is a supportive skill. Fire Arrow Boost belongs to Fire Arrow and is considered separately from the normal attack skills.

Discipline and Skill Levels

From level 5 onwards, a discipline can be chosen. After that, skill points are invested in the skills of the chosen direction.

Skills develop over several levels:

  • Normal
  • Master
  • Grand Master
  • Perfect Master

In addition to basic skills, there are complementary skills such as counter skills, boost skills and Champion-Level skills.

Ninja Weapons

Ninjas can use various weapons. These include daggers, bows, arrows and one-handed swords.

Weapon Type Significance
Daggers Weapons for the Blade specialisation
Bows Weapons for the Bow specialisation
Arrows Equipment related to bows
One-handed Swords weapons also usable by Ninjas

For the classification of a Ninja weapon, level requirement, base values, possible bonuses, sockets and upgrade status count. The interplay between weapon, skills, sockets, spirit stones, bonuses and upgrade level is important.

Ninja Armour

Ninjas wear their own class-specific armour. This armour increases defence and is tied to certain level ranges.

Important properties of Ninja armour are:

  • required level
  • defence value
  • movement speed
  • number of sockets
  • fixed bonus values
  • possible additional bonuses
  • upgrade level
  • possible further development

Ninja armour differs through requirements, base values, sockets, fixed values, bonuses and upgrade status.

Ninja Helmets

Ninjas can wear their own class-specific helmets. These helmets differ from the helmets of other classes mainly in name, appearance and origin. The basic properties are comparable across classes for helmets of the same level. An exception is the bonus properties of level-80 helmets. Helmets cannot be improved with ores or spirit stones.

Important Ninja helmets are:

Level Ninja Helmet Classification
1 Leather Hood early Ninja helmet with defence
21 Chain Hood Ninja helmet for lower level ranges
41 Steel Hood Ninja helmet with higher defence value
60 Orc Hood Ninja helmet with block
80 Spider Hood Ninja helmet with stun
96 Wind Dragon Helmet higher-tier Ninja helmet with extended upgrade levels
100 Dragon Hood Ninja helmet with attack value and magical attack value
100 Dragonian Hood Ninja helmet with skill resistance

For Ninja helmets, required level, defence value, fixed bonus values, possible bonuses and upgrade status are most important. Unlike weapons and armour, helmets have no spirit stone sockets. Therefore, they are not improved via spirit stones, but via their base values, fixed properties, bonuses and upgrades.

Sockets and Spirit Stones

Ninja weapons and Ninja armour can have sockets. Matching spirit stones can be inserted into free sockets.

Sockets are an additional improvement level. Through spirit stones, equipment pieces can receive additional values.

When inserting a spirit stone, the attempt can fail. Then a stone fragment remains in the socket. A stone fragment gives no active bonus and blocks the socket.

Bonuses on Ninja Equipment

In addition to base values, sockets and spirit stones, equipment pieces can have additional bonuses. These bonuses are a separate improvement level.

Bonus Type Examples
Weapon Defence Sword Defence, Two-handed Defence, Dagger Defence, Bell Defence, Fan Defence
Resistances Arrow Resistance, Magic Resistance, Lightning Resistance, Wind Resistance, Fire Resistance
Character Values Max HP, Max MP
Absorption Damage is absorbed by HP, Damage is absorbed by MP
Combat Values Attack Value, Magic Speed
Defensive Effects Chance to reflect close combat hits, Defence chance against claws

Fixed values of an item and additional bonuses are different properties. An item can have its own fixed values and additionally carry further bonuses.

Upgrade and Development

Ninja equipment can be expanded through improvement levels. Depending on the item, certain values increase.

When developing equipment further, the item, required materials, existing bonuses, spirit stones and the current upgrade status count. Before major upgrades, it should be checked which values are retained and which properties may change.

Important Fundamentals for Ninja

With the Ninja, the interplay of several areas counts:

  • chosen specialisation
  • suitable skills
  • daggers, bows, arrows or one-handed swords
  • suitable Ninja armour
  • level requirements
  • sockets and spirit stones
  • fixed values and additional bonuses
  • upgrade status of the equipment

A Ninja is not determined solely by a single skill or a single equipment value. What is important is the combination of class, specialisation, skills and equipment.
