Overview: Nemere Dungeon

The Nemere Dungeon is one of the most demanding group dungeons in Metin2 and is accessible from level 90. It is thematically devoted entirely to ice and frost — the enemies are icy creatures, the environment is frigid and cold, and the final boss Nemere is a mighty ice demon. This dungeon represents a clear step up in difficulty compared to the Tigerghost Dungeon.

The Nemere Dungeon demands not only good equipment, but also strategic thinking and group coordination. Frost resistance is not an optional extra here — it is a necessary preparation. Well-prepared groups are rewarded with excellent drops for level 90+ characters.

Requirements

  • Minimum level: 90
  • Recommended level: 93–100 for safe runs
  • Frost resistance: Important — at least 30% frost resistance recommended
  • Group: A strong group is required; solo is barely feasible
  • Equipment: High-quality level 85+ gear for all group members

Nemere as an Ice Dungeon

The ice theme of the Nemere Dungeon is not purely aesthetic. It has direct mechanical consequences in combat. Frost damage is the dominant damage type, and without sufficient frost resistance you will take considerably more damage than necessary. Check the resistance values of all group members before entering the dungeon.

The ice enemies within the dungeon possess various frost abilities: some slow characters down (slow effect), whilst others deal sustained frost damage over time (DoT). The Shaman should have cleansing or frost-curing spells ready when needed.

The 5 Floors of the Nemere Dungeon

Floor 1 — The Icy Antechamber

The first floor receives the group with moderately strong ice enemies. The cold atmosphere is immediately apparent. Here the group becomes acquainted with the frost mechanics without being immediately overwhelmed. Stay calm and keep the slow effects in mind.

Floor 2 — Ice Guardians

On the second floor, powerful ice guardians patrol the area. Enemy formations can become dangerous. Pull control is crucial here — always engage only small groups at a time. The first DoT frost effects appear; the healer must remain watchful.

Floor 3 — Frozen Halls

The third floor introduces elite enemies that are considerably stronger. Frost resistance proves its worth especially here. Some elite enemies can freeze multiple characters simultaneously — the group must react flexibly and prioritise freeing frozen allies.

Floor 4 — Preparation for Nemere

The fourth floor contains powerful sub-bosses that serve as direct preparation for Nemere. Their attack patterns are more complex than anything encountered so far in the dungeon. Refresh all buffs and fully replenish HP and MP before making the transition to floor 5.

Floor 5 — Nemere, the Ice Boss

The final floor leads directly into the battle against Nemere. The boss is enormous, formidable, and his lair is permeated by ice and cold. Everything learned on the previous floors is put to the test here.

Boss Strategy for Nemere

Nemere fights in three clearly distinguishable phases:

Phase 1 — Normal Combat

In the first phase, Nemere relies primarily on powerful melee attacks. The tank keeps the boss occupied and absorbs the damage. DPS players focus on dealing maximum damage. The healer keeps the tank alive and refreshes buffs as needed. Stay calm — Nemere is manageable in this phase.

Phase 2 — Frost AoE Begins

At roughly 60% HP, Nemere transitions into phase 2 and begins using frost AoE attacks regularly. These area attacks hit all players within a certain radius. The entire group must reposition: ranged players stay outside the AoE radius, whilst melee fighters must maintain precisely the right distance. The healer now requires full concentration.

Phase 3 — Final Push, Increased Damage

Below 30% HP, Nemere becomes particularly aggressive. His attack power increases, the frequency of AoE attacks rises, and he may suddenly leap onto random group members. Everyone must remain alert. The healer should keep mana in reserve. If the tank can hold Nemere through this phase, victory is assured.
