What is Mining in Metin2?

Mining in Metin2 is a secondary activity in which players extract ore veins using a pickaxe to collect ores. The obtained ores can subsequently be refined and incorporated into jewellery to specifically improve their standard bonuses. Furthermore, from a certain character level onwards, ores are required for the manufacture of equipment.

The efficiency and performance of mining can be increased by two factors: learning and increasing the specific mining skill, as well as continuously improving the pickaxe.

Currently there are a total of 23 different ore veins, with Ebony, Diamond, Heaventears, Emerald and Ruby veins being particularly popular among players.

Ore Refinement Process

The extracted ore is refined in a guild furnace. The following specific conditions and success rates apply to this process:

Material Requirement: Refinement requires the use of Spectral Powder. The exception is Diamond Stone, which can be refined without Spectral Powder.
Success Probabilities: Each guild furnace is specialised in a particular ore type. The specialised ore is successfully refined with a probability of 60%. For all other non-specialised ores, the success rate is 30%.

Use in Jewellery

Refined ores serve for temporary enhancement of equipment items:

Slot Unlocking: To insert refined ore into a piece of jewellery, you must first unlock a slot using a Diamond. Each piece of jewellery has a maximum of three slots.
Effect: A successfully installed ore enhances the standard values of the respective piece of jewellery for a limited time.
