The Three Kingdoms and Their Flags

Metin2 is divided into three rival kingdoms: Shinsoo (Red), Chunjo (Yellow) and Jinno (Blue). Each kingdom has its own flag, which serves as a symbol of strength and control over territory. The flag system is one of the core elements of Metin2 PvP and sustains the ongoing rivalry between the realms.

Flags appear on special battle maps where the kingdoms compete against one another. The kingdom that controls the most flags or destroys the enemy flags earns bonuses for all its members — making flag battles a genuine community event.

Flag Types in Metin2

Kingdom Flags

The large kingdom flags are at the heart of the Dragon Battle (Wangseong). Each realm places its flag on the shared battle map, and the objective is to destroy the enemy flags while defending your own. Whoever destroys all enemy flags first — or has the most flags still standing when time runs out — wins.

Territory Flags

On regular maps there are territory flags that can be claimed by a kingdom. When a kingdom holds a territory flag, all members of that realm benefit from bonuses to experience and loot in that zone. This makes controlling territory strategically valuable — especially in heavily farmed areas.

The Dragon Battle (Wangseong)

The Dragon Battle is the major PvP event built around the flag system. It takes place at set times on the server and draws in players of all levels. Beginners can take part too — success depends on coordinated attack and defence, not individual strength alone.

Tips for the Dragon Battle

Flags and Guild Warfare

The flag system is closely tied to guild warfare. Strong guilds dominate flag positions and secure advantages for their members. Joining an active guild means you automatically benefit from the flag bonuses they've fought for — a compelling reason to join a guild early on.

Guilds with a high flag score also earn points on the server rankings, which motivates the server's strongest players to take part in flag battles regularly.
