Beran-Setaou — Who Is This Boss?

Beran-Setaou is one of the most feared endgame bosses in Metin2. He resides in his own dungeon designed exclusively for high-level players, offering genuine challenges — both mechanically and in terms of the equipment required. The boss is part of the Yohara content and ranks among the hardest instances in the game.

In Metin2's lore, Beran-Setaou is a demonic warlord who lurks deep within forbidden territory. The game world builds a dense atmosphere around this dungeon — dark, petrified caverns, menacing minion monsters and finally the boss himself as the climax of a multi-layered dungeon.

Requirements for the Beran-Setaou Dungeon

Dungeon Layout and Phases

The Beran-Setaou dungeon consists of several rooms that grow progressively harder with each wave. You begin by fighting your way through standard minions, followed by elite guardians, and finally face Beran-Setaou himself.

Phase 1 — The Demon Antechamber

Several waves of mid-strength demons must be defeated. Use area-of-effect skills and keep an eye on your potion supply — the minions deal respectable damage.

Phase 2 — Guardians of the Demon Lord

Three elite guardians appear simultaneously. Focusing DPS on one guardian at a time is crucial; do not try to fight all three at once. Shamans should heal continuously during this phase.

Phase 3 — Beran-Setaou

The boss himself has multiple attack patterns. Once his HP drops below a certain threshold he enters a berserk phase with significantly increased damage. Keep defensive buffs active and sidestep his charge attack through movement.

Drops and Rewards

Beran-Setaou drops some of the most valuable items in the game. The drop rate for rare items is higher than in most other dungeons, making the dungeon very rewarding despite its difficulty.

• Warrior: A physical build with high defence is ideal — keep the boss occupied and use stun skills during Phase 3
• Sura: Weapon Sura is an excellent DPS dealer; use all magical attack skills and stay mobile
• Shaman: Dragon Shaman for maximum damage, Healing Shaman as group support — both builds are valuable
• Ninja: Bow Ninja for ranged DPS, Dagger Ninja for close-range burst damage
• Lycan: High mobility helps dodge boss attacks; use your transformation phase for burst damage
