The Abyss Cliff — A Dangerous Frontier Zone

The Abyss Cliff is an open high-level zone in Metin2, accessible from Level 85. It sits along a rugged coastal clifftop at the edge of the known world and is home to some of the strongest open-world monsters in the game. Only well-equipped players should venture here — but the risks are worthwhile, because the Abyss Cliff is one of the most rewarding farming zones in this level bracket.

This zone is not a dungeon but an open map — which means PvP between kingdoms is possible at any time. Anyone farming here should always keep an eye out for enemy players and be ready to react quickly if needed.

Monsters of the Abyss Cliff

The Abyss Cliff hosts a wide variety of monster types that vary depending on your position on the map. Particularly valuable are the rare elite monsters that spawn in specific areas and have above-average drops.

Best Farming Routes

The Abyss Cliff has two main farming routes, depending on your playstyle and level:

Route A — Fast Clearing (Lv. 85–90)

Follow the western cliff path and defeat the Abyss Demons in a clockwise loop. This route offers high monster density and is therefore ideal for players farming Yang and Metin Stones. Respawn times are short, meaning you'll have little downtime.

Route B — Elite Hunting (Lv. 90+)

Focus on the eastern section of the zone, where the Elite Abyss Monsters spawn. This route is slower, but the quality of drops is considerably better. Factor in longer waits between elite spawns and use the time to defeat normal monsters nearby.

PvP at the Abyss Cliff

Since the Abyss Cliff is an open PvP zone, you will sooner or later encounter enemy players. Here are the key survival principles:

• Watch the minimap: Red dots (enemy kingdoms) appear on the minimap — react early
• Escape items: Keep teleport scrolls or recall items in your inventory for emergencies
• Farm in a group: You are significantly safer in a group — find partners from your guild
• Avoid peak hours: Farm early in the morning or late at night when fewer players are online

Connection to the Biolog Quest System

Several Biolog Quest tiers require items that are farmed at the Abyss Cliff. Check your current Baek-Go tasks before visiting the zone — this way you can efficiently combine Biolog Quests with regular farming and benefit twice over.
