Gloves in the Yohara Endgame: Introduction

Entering the Yohara continent in Metin2 quickly shows that conventional equipment alone is no longer sufficient. This is where an essential piece of equipment comes into play, which was introduced with update 20.4: Gloves.

Unlike weapons or armour, gloves are not available from level 1 onwards. They are purely endgame equipment (from level 105), class-independent and serve a primary purpose: to drastically increase SungMa Will, which is essential for survival and damage dealt on Yohara.

This guide covers all details regarding glove licence, crafting and optimal stones.

Requirement: The Locked Slot and the Glove Licence

In the inventory, the equipment slot for gloves is locked by default (marked in red). Found or purchased gloves cannot be equipped immediately.

To unlock the slot, the Glove Licence is required. This is not acquired through simple levelling, but through a specific quest series with the NPC Theowahdan on Yohara. Only after successfully completing this quest is the slot permanently unlocked for the respective character.

What Gloves Are Available?

A widespread misconception is the assumption that gloves are bound to specific classes (such as Warrior or Ninja). This is not the case. Every character can wear every glove. The choice depends solely on which SungMa Will is optimised for the current build and the respective farming area.

Level 105 Gloves (Focus on SungMa Will)

  • Quick Gloves: Increases SungMa Will (RES)
  • Strength Gloves: Increases SungMa Will (STR)
  • Armour Gloves: Increases SungMa Will (VIT)
  • Protection Gloves: Increases SungMa Will (INT)

Level 120 Gloves (Snake Gloves)

From level 120 onwards, the mighty Snake Gloves are available. These not only provide SungMa values, but also grant a strong base value of defence.

Important: Random Base Values (Stat Rolls)

The strength of the primary bonuses (SungMa Will and Defence) is not fixed. When crafting or upgrading a glove, the values roll within a random range. A level 105 glove at +9 therefore provides no fixed value, but for example a random SungMa Will between 58 and 63. Perfect rolls are therefore extremely coveted in the endgame.

Crafting and Upgrades

Gloves do not drop as finished items from bosses like Nemere or Meley, but must be crafted deliberately. Crafting takes place at Master Chi in the Dongane Plains.

  • The base success rate for crafting is 75 %.
  • Upgrading the gloves (up to a maximum of +9) works via the conventional plus system.
  • Required Materials: Upgrading requires Yang and Yohara-specific materials. These include leather hardeners, leather hardeners+ and Northwind glove stones, combined with classic high-end materials such as pearls and moonstones.

Specific Spirit Stones: Stones of Demons

When enhancing gloves, a special mechanic applies that differs strictly from conventional equipment items (such as weapons or armour): Regular spirit stones – such as the Stone of Haste or the Stone of Evasion – fundamentally cannot be inserted into gloves.

The stone slots in this piece of equipment are exclusively reserved for a special category of stones. Only the following stones can be installed:

  • Stone of Demons
  • Power Stone of Demons

These specific spirit stones are precisely tailored to the Yohara endgame and represent the only way to further strengthen the gloves through the stone system. For optimal preparation for the continent, it is therefore essential to deliberately focus on acquiring these demon stones.

Conclusion: The Importance of Gloves in the Endgame

Without well-developed gloves, progress on the Yohara continent is severely limited. The sheer amount of SungMa Will that a good +9 glove with a high base roll provides makes it from an optional gimmick to an absolute must-have item for every endgame character in Metin2.

Early unlocking of the licence with Theowahdan and strategic gathering of leather hardeners are therefore strongly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

From which level can you wear gloves?

Gloves are purely endgame equipment. The first gloves (Quick Gloves, Strength Gloves, Armour Gloves, Protection Gloves) are available from level 105 onwards. From level 120 onwards, Snake Gloves can also be worn.

Are there specific gloves for Warriors, Ninjas or Shamans?

No. All gloves are completely class-independent. Every character can equip every glove. The choice of glove depends solely on which SungMa Will (RES, STR, VIT or INT) should be strengthened for the respective build.

Why can't I equip my gloves?

The equipment slot for gloves is locked by default. To unlock it, the quest series for the glove licence with the NPC Theowahdan on the Yohara continent must be completed.

Where can you farm gloves?

Finished gloves do not drop from bosses. They must be crafted with Master Chi in the Dongane Plains. This requires special Yohara materials such as leather hardeners and Northwind glove stones. The base success rate is 75 %.

Which spirit stones fit into gloves?

Regular spirit stones (such as Stone of Haste) do not work on gloves. The stone slots are exclusively reserved for the Stone of Demons and the Power Stone of Demons.
