Why gloves matter in Metin2

In the gear optimisation process, gloves often come after weapon, armour and helmet. That's understandable — they're less conspicuous. But a well-chosen pair of gloves with the right bonuses can significantly boost your character's DPS. Attack speed and critical hit chance in particular are bonuses that gloves offer especially frequently.

Like all equipment in Metin2, gloves are class-specific. You cannot equip Warrior plate gauntlets on a Shaman — always check the class requirement when purchasing. The level requirement also matters: if the requirement is too high, you simply cannot equip the gloves.

Glove types by class

Warrior Gloves — Plate Gauntlets

Warriors wear heavy metal gauntlets. They offer the highest physical defence of all glove types but are slower. The best bonuses on Warrior gloves:

  • Physical defence (high base values)
  • Strength bonus (directly boosts attack value)
  • HP bonus
  • Block reaction time (for shield fighters)

Ninja Gloves — Leather Gloves

Lightweight leather gloves focused on precision and speed. The best slot for attack speed bonuses:

  • Attack speed (most important bonus)
  • Critical hit chance
  • Evasion rate
  • Arrow bonus (for Archer Ninja)

Sura Gloves — Reinforced Leather Gloves

Medium-weight gloves combining magical and physical bonuses:

  • Magical attack (Weapon Sura)
  • Physical resistance (Armour Sura)
  • Intelligence bonus
  • Attack speed

Shaman Gloves — Mage Gloves

Light cloth gloves with magical properties:

  • Healing power bonus (Healing Shaman)
  • Magical attack (Dragon Shaman)
  • Mana regeneration
  • Casting speed

Lycan Gloves — Reinforced Claw Guards

Unique gloves that enhance claws in wolf form:

  • Claw damage bonus
  • Attack speed (applies across forms)
  • Critical damage

Upgrading and optimising gloves

Gloves can be upgraded via the Plus system just like any other piece of equipment. A higher Plus level increases defence values and bonus strength. For serious build optimisation:

  • Aim for at least +7 on your main gloves
  • Use protection scrolls on valuable gloves
  • Choose alchemy stones that cover the missing bonus
  • When the Plus is lower but the bonuses are perfect, the bonus is often more important

Where do I farm gloves?

The best gloves come from regular dungeon farming. Tigerghost Dungeon (Lv.75+), Nemere Dungeon (Lv.90+) and Meley Dungeon (Lv.105+) are the main sources. For specific items with exactly the right bonuses, the player market is often faster than extended farming runs.
