Alliance Classes in OGame
Since the OGame redesign, alliances can choose a class similar to individual players. The alliance class grants all members common bonuses that complement the individual player class. The decision for an alliance class should reflect the majority of members and the common gameplay direction — a combat alliance benefits most from a class that strengthens attack and defence.
The alliance class is not mandatory but provides a significant advantage. In a well-organised universe where strong alliances fight against each other, alliance class bonuses can tip the scales in close conflicts.
Alliance Classes Overview
| Class | Focus | Ideal for |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior Alliance | Combat, ACS, Defence | Aggressive alliances, war alliances |
| Trader Alliance | Resources, Production, Trade | Economically oriented alliances, miner groups |
| Discoverer Alliance | Expeditions, Research, Expansion | Peaceful alliances, expedition focus |
Warrior Alliance
The Warrior Alliance is the right choice for alliances that actively conduct wars, strive for universe dominance or launch coordinated attacks together in the Alliance Combat System (ACS). The combat bonuses affect all members simultaneously and make coordinated attacks stronger.
Warrior Alliance Bonuses
- Increased attack strength in joint ACS attacks
- Improved protection during coordinated defence flights
- Fleet speed bonus for quick reaction to enemy contact
- Enhanced recycler efficiency after battles
When to Choose Warrior Alliance?
When your alliance regularly participates in wars, actively attacks other players and proceeds in coordinated ACS operations. Alliances participating in Titan Clash particularly benefit.
Trader Alliance
The Trader Alliance strengthens the economic foundation of all members. In an early universe where resources are scarce and construction takes priority, this class is often the most sensible choice. Even in later phases, alliances that rely on miners as their foundation benefit considerably from the production bonuses.
Trader Alliance Bonuses
- Increased resource production for all members
- Improved trader exchange rate in resource transactions
- Storage capacity bonus to maintain larger resource buffers
- Faster economic development for new members
When to Choose Trader Alliance?
When your alliance consists mainly of miners, is still building up in a new universe, or pursues a peaceful strategy with economic superiority. Also good for alliances that want to help their members with a quick start.
Discoverer Alliance
The Discoverer Alliance focuses on expeditions and expansion. Alliances whose members regularly and coordinatedly conduct expeditions collectively gather more resources, ships and dark matter through improved expedition results. This class is also attractive for alliances developing new universes and wanting to expand quickly.
Discoverer Alliance Bonuses
- Improved expedition results for all members
- Phalanx range bonus for better universe surveillance
- Increased research speed for shared knowledge advantage
- More planet slots through improved astrophysics bonuses
Combining Alliance Class and Player Class
The strongest synergies emerge when alliance class and member player classes are coordinated. A Warrior Alliance with many General players is significantly more formidable than the same alliance with randomly distributed player classes. The same applies to Trader Alliances with Collector players or Discoverer Alliances with Discoverer players.
| Alliance Class | Recommended Member Player Classes |
|---|---|
| Warrior Alliance | Majority Generals, supplemented by Collectors for resources |
| Trader Alliance | Majority Collectors, some Discoverers for expeditions |
| Discoverer Alliance | Majority Discoverers, Collectors as economic foundation |
