The Chunjo Kingdom is one of three realms in Metin2 and is represented by the colour yellow. Anyone who selects Chunjo when creating a character will fight players from the Jinno Kingdom (blue) and the Shinsoo Kingdom (red) from then on. The realm consists of three maps – Map1, Map2 and the guild zone – and offers the same monsters, NPCs, metins and ore veins as the other two realms. The crucial difference lies in PvP: in foreign realms you deal 10% less damage, and players from other realms can be attacked at any time without losing ranking points.
The Three Realms at a Glance
Metin2 has exactly three realms, between which players can choose when creating their first character. This choice is permanent and shapes your entire PvP experience. All three realms are structured identically and contain the same content – they differ only in colour, affiliation and political relationships in PvP.
| Realm | Colour | Maps | Enemies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chunjo | Yellow | Map1, Map2, Guild Zone | Jinno, Shinsoo |
| Jinno | Blue | Map1, Map2, Guild Zone | Chunjo, Shinsoo |
| Shinsoo | Red | Map1, Map2, Guild Zone | Chunjo, Jinno |
Maps and Territory Structure of Chunjo Kingdom
Each realm in Metin2 – and therefore Chunjo as well – consists of exactly three maps:
- Map1: The entry area of the realm. Here, characters in the early game stage level up and complete their first quests.
- Map2: The advanced area for higher levels. Stronger monsters, better resources.
- Guild Zone: The guild territory. Here guilds can claim and defend territories.
Important to know: monsters, NPCs, metins and ore veins are identical in all three realms. If you switch from Chunjo to Jinno or Shinsoo, you'll find the same farming content – however, with the PvP disadvantage of 10% less damage output in the foreign realm.
PvP Rules: Chunjo Against Jinno and Shinsoo
The Chunjo Kingdom is in permanent enmity with Jinno and Shinsoo. The PvP mechanics are clearly regulated:
- Attack without penalties: Players from other realms can be attacked anywhere at any time without losing ranking points.
- Damage penalty in foreign realm: If you are on a map of an enemy realm, you deal 10% less damage. This affects both PvP and PvE.
- Language barrier: Players from Chunjo and players from Jinno or Shinsoo cannot communicate with each other by default. Communication is only possible once the respective foreign language has been learned via books or a language ring is worn.
The language barrier is hardly relevant in the early game phase, but becomes an issue in high-level PvP and in negotiations between realms. More on languages and language rings in Metin2.
Realm Wars: Chunjo Fights for the Crown
The realm war is the largest organised PvP event in Metin2. It takes place once a month, and usually participation is limited to a certain level range. Chunjo fights Jinno and Shinsoo simultaneously.
Course of a Realm War
- A server message announces the start of the realm war.
- Go to the battle administrator and register to participate.
- You will be teleported to the access map – each realm has its own entrance.
- Kill the Evil Yellow Tiger Spirit at the portal to obtain the key to the Holy Land.
- Combat further aggressive monsters on the way to the boss monster that correspond to the respective area.
- Drag the key onto the Stolen Gang Seal to open the gate to the Holy Land.
- After opening the gate, you will be teleported to the Holy Land. Access for further players of your realm is blocked.
- In the Holy Land, all three realms meet. The realm with the fewest points after time runs out is eliminated.
- The two remaining realms continue to fight, the score is reset to zero.
Available Realm War Areas
| Access Map | Holy Land |
|---|---|
| Access Map Ice Land | Holy Land Ice Land |
| Access Map Fire Land | Holy Land Fire Land |
| Access Map Desert | Holy Land Desert |
In total, there are six areas (three access maps, three holy lands) that can only be entered during an active realm war. In the Ice Land areas, for example, only the bosses are aggressive. Detailed realm war guide.
Further Realm Events: Capture the Frog and More
In addition to the monthly realm war, there are other realm-spanning competitions in which Chunjo competes against Jinno and Shinsoo:
- Capture the Frog: An event in which players must capture a frog and bring it to their realm.
- Capture the Metin: Competition revolving around metin stones, in which realms compete against each other.
- Merchant Escort: An escort mission event in which merchants must be guided through enemy territory.
These events are offered occasionally and provide a change from open PvP and realm wars. All events in Metin2 at a glance.
Chunjo Stone and Realm Stones
In connection with the Chunjo Kingdom, the term Chunjo Stone also appears. This belongs to the category of realm stones – alongside the Jinno Stone and the Shinsoo Stone. Realm stones are specific objects or points linked to the respective realm. Details on the exact locations and uses of the realm stones can be found in the corresponding section of the world map.
Tips for Chunjo Newcomers
- Realm remains permanent: The realm choice when creating a character is fixed. Think carefully about whether you want to join Chunjo, Jinno or Shinsoo – especially if you want to play with friends who already belong to a realm.
- Watch out for the 10% penalty: Farm whenever possible on your own realm maps. The damage penalty in foreign territories costs time and efficiency.
- Language books are useful: If you regularly trade or communicate with players from other realms, it's worth investing in language books or a language ring.
- Note realm war level restrictions: The monthly realm war has level restrictions. Check in time whether your character is eligible to participate.
- Use the guild zone: The guild zone is an important part of the realm map. Join an active guild to enjoy benefits there and participate in guild battles.
