TL;DR: Fast Attack is a skill in Metin2. You receive skill points from level 5 onwards – 1 point per level, 4 points at the start. Skill books train the skill further; incorrect point allocation can be fixed with a reset.

What is Fast Attack in Metin2?

Fast Attack (also known as Blitzangriff in German, Attaque rapide in French, Szybki Atak in Polish) is a skill in Metin2's skill system. Skills are special abilities for your character that you manage through the skill window and use actively in combat. This skill belongs to class-bound skills that you develop through skill point allocation.

Metin2 has two basic types of skills: class-specific skills (including Fast Attack) and mount skills. Fast Attack falls into the first category and is tied to your chosen specialisation.

Skill System – Fundamentals

Before you can use Fast Attack effectively, you need to understand Metin2's general skill system:

Warrior Class Skills Overview

Fast Attack should be understood in the context of warrior classes, which are divided into two specialisations in Metin2: Body Warrior and Mental Warrior. Each specialisation has its own skills with different focuses.

Warrior Class Skills (Body vs. Mental)
Specialisation Skill Effect
Body Warrior Sword Aura Attack value increases based on level and STR allocation
Body Warrior Battle Fury Movement and attack speed increases; defence decreases at Master level
Body Warrior Triple Slash Triple strike in quick succession
Body Warrior Sword Whirlwind Strong area damage around the character
Body Warrior Dash Stun attack with extremely high movement speed
Body Warrior Will to Live Frontal attack
Body Warrior Earthquake Frontal attack
Mental Warrior Strong Body Defence increases; movement speed decreases; no knockdown at Master level
Mental Warrior Sword Strike Stun with area damage
Mental Warrior Stomp Stun chance with area damage
Mental Warrior Breakthrough Area damage
Mental Warrior Violent Strike Area damage

Allocating Skill Points – Step by Step

Point allocation directly determines the effectiveness of your skills. The following applies to all skills including Fast Attack:

Important: Never allocate more than 17 points to a skill without it advancing to the next level. This is called "mis-skilling". If this happens to you, you'll need to reset your skills.

Skill Books and Training

In addition to skill points gained from levelling, there's another training method: Skill Books (e.g. Fast Attack Book, which internally forwards to the Master Book). You read these to further improve your skill.

Plan your daily login so you can use the books on a 24-hour rhythm – this is the most efficient way to bring Fast Attack to Master level without extra Yang.

Resetting Skills – Costs and Procedure

If you've mis-skilled or want to try a new specialisation, there are two ways to reset:

Method 1: Old Woman (scales to level 30 for free)

The Old Woman resets your skills up to and including level 30 for a Yang fee. You get all skill points back – but you lose points from Master levels M2 to M10 and any Grand Master levels already achieved.

Skill Reset Costs at the Old Woman
Character Level Cost (Yang)
5 20,000
6 22,000
7 24,000
10 30,000
20 50,000
30 70,000

Note: The cost is 20,000 Yang at level 5 and increases by 2,000 Yang per level.

Method 2: Skill Reallocation (Item)

The "Skill Reset Document" item allows a reset without the restrictions of the Old Woman. It has equivalents in almost all languages and is the preferred method for higher levels.

Practical tip when resetting: If the skill doesn't advance at exactly 17 points when resetting at the Old Woman, you can try again immediately – this way you don't lose any skill points. Advancing at exactly 17 points is not guaranteed.

Quick Access Bar – Using Fast Attack in Combat

Once you've allocated at least 1 point to Fast Attack, activate it like this:

  1. Open the skill window (K key, depending on server version).
  2. Drag and drop Fast Attack to the quick access bar at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Activate the skill with keys 14 or F1F4.
  4. Alternatively: Right-click the skill in the skill window.
  5. Some skills can also be placed directly on the left or right mouse button.

Frequently Asked Questions about Fast Attack

What is Fast Attack in Metin2?

Fast Attack is a class-bound skill in Metin2. It belongs to the skill system and is developed through skill points and skill books.

From what level can I train Fast Attack?

From level 5 onwards. You then choose your specialisation via the quest "Training" and immediately receive 4 skill points, which you can allocate to class-specific skills like Fast Attack.

How many points should I allocate to Fast Attack?

Maximum 17 points before the skill advances to the next level. More than 17 points without advancing means "mis-skilled" – then a reset is necessary.

What happens if I mis-skill?

Up to level 30 you can reset your skills with the Old Woman for a Yang fee (starting at 20,000 Yang, +2,000 Yang per level). For higher levels there is the "Skill Reset Document" item.

How do I train Fast Attack through books?

Read the corresponding skill book – all books can be read in parallel on a 24-hour cycle. Use an Exorcism Scroll to skip the waiting period.

Can I place Fast Attack on my mouse button?

Yes. Some skills can be placed on the left or right mouse button. Alternatively, use the quick access bar with keys 1–4 or F1–F4.

What does a skill reset cost at level 30?

At level 30 a reset with the Old Woman costs 70,000 Yang. The base cost is 20,000 Yang at level 5 and increases by 2,000 Yang per level.

Do I lose all my skill points when resetting?

With the Old Woman you get the allocated skill points back, but you lose points from Master levels M2–M10 and any Grand Master levels already achieved. The Skill Reset Document item has different terms.
