TL;DR: The Body Warrior is Metin2's strongest PvM melee class. With high damage and solid defence, it's ideal for farming Metins and dungeons.

The Body Warrior is Metin2's preferred choice for players who want to farm effectively in PvM (Player vs. Monster). It combines high melee damage with robust defence, making it a reliable class for both Metin farming and dungeons. This guide explains how to set up your Warrior optimally for PvM – from skill allocation through equipment to practical farming tips.

Warrior Class: Basics and Playstyle

The Warrior in Metin2 is a pure melee class and splits into two specialisations: the Body Warrior (melee focus) and the Weapon Warrior (who fights with bow or at range). For PvM – fighting monsters, Metins and dungeon bosses – the Body Warrior is by far the stronger choice.

The Body Warrior's playstyle is direct: you get close to the enemy, deal heavy blows and use your defensive abilities to stay in the fight longer. This makes it particularly well suited for areas with many enemies at once and for prolonged boss fights.

Skill Allocation for the PvM Body Warrior

Skill allocation is the most important building block of your PvM build. As a Body Warrior, you invest primarily in melee skills and largely avoid ranged combat skills. The following priorities generally apply for PvM use:

Offensive Skills have the highest priority. Your damage-dealing abilities largely determine how quickly you eliminate Metins and monsters. Get these to high levels as early as possible, as each level noticeably increases your damage.

Defensive Skills are also relevant for PvM, as they extend your survival time between healing potions. High defence means less potion consumption and thus higher efficiency when farming.

Buff Skills of the Warrior temporarily boost attack or defence. These are particularly worthwhile for dungeon runs, where you need to perform consistently over a longer period.

Important: Don't allocate points to Weapon Warrior skills if you're going the Body Warrior route. These points are wasted in PvM and cannot be reset without special items.

Stat Points: What You Should Invest In

With each level gain, you receive stat points that you can distribute across four basic attributes: Strength (STR), Agility (AGI), Vitality (VIT) and Intelligence (INT). For the PvM Body Warrior, the following priority applies:

Stat Priority for the PvM Body Warrior
Stat Priority Reason
Strength (STR) High Directly increases melee damage – the most important stat for Body Warriors
Vitality (VIT) Medium Increases hit points, important for survival when farming without constant potions
Agility (AGI) Low–Medium Improves dodge chance and slightly boosts attack speed
Intelligence (INT) Very low Barely relevant for Body Warriors, as no magical skills are used

The exact distribution depends on your equipment. With good gear that already offers plenty of defence and HP, you can invest more in STR. Players with lower quality equipment should allocate more VIT points to avoid constantly buying potions.

Equipment for the PvM Body Warrior

Your Body Warrior's equipment has a massive impact on PvM efficiency. Generally speaking: Warriors wear armour, helms, boots, gloves and melee weapons – swords or axes depending on your choice.

Weapon: Your weapon determines your base damage. Upgrade it with available materials as much as possible. A well-upgraded weapon usually far outperforms a higher-level, but unupgraded weapon.

Armour: For PvM, balance between attack (through stats) and defence is important. Armour can be upgraded with various materials to increase its values.

Helm: An important note directly from the official wiki: Helms cannot be upgraded with ores or spirit stones. This means your helm stays at its base value – so choose a helm that fits your build from the start, as you can't upgrade it later like other pieces.

Accessories: Rings, necklaces and bracelets should be geared towards attack values if possible. In PvM, damage counts for more than in PvP, so you can often replace defensive accessories with offensive pieces.

Body Warrior Chest: In the game there is the so-called Body Warrior Chest, available in two different sizes. These chests can contain class-specific equipment and are a good way to get suitable items for your Body Warrior early on.

Farming Areas and Tactics

The Body Warrior is strong in almost all PvM areas thanks to its robustness and high damage. Here's an overview of sensible farming tactics:

Farming Metins: Metin stones are the main farming activity in Metin2. The Body Warrior can quickly take down Metins thanks to high damage. Make sure to eliminate surrounding monsters first before attacking the Metin – this way you won't be occupied by multiple enemies at once.

Dungeons: In dungeons you benefit from your buff skills. Activate these before difficult rooms or boss encounters. The Warrior is one of the most stable solo classes in most dungeons because it stays in the fight for a long time even without a healer.

Group Play: The Body Warrior is also valuable in groups. Take on the tank role: hold the aggro of the strongest enemies on you and let teammates support with ranged or magic attacks. Your high defence makes you the ideal front-liner for any group.

Common Mistakes with the Body Warrior Build

Many beginners make similar mistakes when building their Body Warrior. You should avoid these:

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Body Warrior and Weapon Warrior?

The Body Warrior fights in melee with swords or axes and has high defence and melee damage values. The Weapon Warrior relies on ranged combat and other weapon types. For PvM, the Body Warrior is the stronger choice because it's more robust and deals more damage in direct combat.

Can I upgrade my helm with ores?

No. According to the official Metin2 wiki, helms cannot be upgraded with ores or spirit stones. Therefore, choose your helm carefully, as you cannot upgrade it later.

Which stats are most important for the PvM Body Warrior?

Strength (STR) is the most important stat because it directly increases your melee damage. Behind that comes Vitality (VIT) for more hit points and better survival when farming. Intelligence is virtually useless for the Body Warrior.

What is the Body Warrior Chest and where do I get it?

The Body Warrior Chest is a class-specific item in Metin2 available in two different sizes. It can contain equipment specifically for the Body Warrior. It's a good source for early class-specific equipment.

Should I focus on attack or defence as a Body Warrior?

In PvM, a balance is sensible. Too little defence means high potion consumption and inefficient farming. Too little attack means slow kills. As a rule of thumb: prioritise attack as long as you're not constantly being hit critically. Once potion consumption becomes too high, invest more in defence or VIT.

Can the Body Warrior run solo dungeons well?

Yes, the Body Warrior is one of the most stable solo classes for dungeons. Its high defence and strong melee damage allow it to stay in combat for long periods even without support from other players and to effectively fight bosses.

Can I rebuild a Warrior build later?

Allocated stat and skill points cannot be reset without special items. So think early about which direction you want to develop your Body Warrior and follow the PvM build plan consistently from the start.

Is the Body Warrior good in PvP too?

The Body Warrior can hold its own in PvP, but it's not primarily designed for that mode. A pure PvM build can show weaknesses in PvP. If you want to play both PvM and PvP, you should adjust your build accordingly or use separate equipment sets.
