TL;DR: Sung Mahi's Infernal Tower is a 50-floor solo map in Metin2 with 3 rooms per floor. Goal: Climb all floors alone and achieve the best time in the monthly season.

What is Sung Mahi's Infernal Tower?

Sung Mahi's Infernal Tower is a solo map in Metin2 introduced with update version 20.4. The tower consists of 50 floors, each with 3 rooms – totalling 150 rooms that a single player must fight through alone. Group play is not possible: the tower is accessed exclusively via a blue portal that allows solo access only. The map is aimed at experienced Warriors willing to take on Sung Mahi.

Map Layout: Entrance Hall and Tower

The map is divided into two areas:

Before entering the portal, make sure your inventory and equipment are ready – there is no direct way back to the NPCs between floors within the tower.

Layout of a Floor: The 3 Rooms per Level

Each of the 50 floors follows the same pattern of three consecutive rooms. Understanding this layout is key to achieving a good best time.

Room layout per floor in the Infernal Tower
Room Task Special Feature
Room 1 Defeat monster waves Portal opens only after all waves are completed
Room 2 One of seven different tasks Task varies per run
Room 3 Defeat monster waves + bosses Vines emerge from the ground; cause immobility and confusion when hit

Room 1 is the classic wave room: all monster groups must be eliminated, then the portal to the second room opens.

Room 2 presents the player with one of seven possible tasks. These rotate randomly, making each tower run slightly different.

Room 3 is the most challenging room. In addition to monster waves, different numbers of bosses appear depending on the floor. Additionally, vines grow from the ground – if not avoided or destroyed in time, they immobilise the player and cause confusion. After the final boss, the portal to the next floor opens.

Sung Mahi's Will: The Tower's Curse

In the Infernal Tower, a so-called Sung Mahi's Will is active, a curse mechanic that affects gameplay. Details on the individual curse effects are documented in the official wiki table. This mechanism ensures that the tower cannot be conquered by raw strength alone, but also requires tactical approach.

Bonus and Malus: Random Effects per Floor

On each floor, the player automatically receives a random bonus or malus. These effects cannot be chosen and change with each floor. This means: some levels become significantly easier due to a beneficial bonus, whilst others become considerably harder due to a malus. The complete list of possible bonus and malus effects can be found in the official Metin2 wiki.

This randomisation mechanism makes every tower run unique and prevents pure repetition from being enough – adaptability is required.

The Tower Season System

Sung Mahi's Infernal Tower has its own season system that runs monthly. The current season runs until 06.04.2026, the next one begins on 07.04.2026 at 10:00.
