TL;DR: The Snake Temple is a daily dungeon with 6 levels and up to 5 entries per day. The central mechanic is sequence puzzles – clues from earlier levels reveal the correct sequence for later challenges.

The Snake Temple is a Metin2 dungeon that starts on the map Snake Temple Level 1. You have 5 entries per day, which reset daily at 0:00. Before your first run, you must complete the quest Important Preparations on Level 1. By using a specific item, you can reset your entries back to 5 if you've already used them. Throughout all levels, items drop that you'll need on Level 6.

Requirements and Getting Started

Before you can start the dungeon, the following conditions apply:

Snake Temple – Key Information at a Glance
Parameter Details
Entries per day 5x (reset at 0:00)
Reset entries Can be reset to 5 using an item
Required quest Important Preparations (complete on Level 1)
Timer extension On Level 2 with 50x item, extendable to 60 minutes
Drops throughout the run Items for Level 6 (drop everywhere in the dungeon)

Start the dungeon only after completing the quest. Without it, you cannot enter the actual run. Also plan ahead whether you want to extend the timer on Level 2 – you'll need 50 units of the corresponding item in your inventory.

Level 1 – Entry and Quest

Level 1 is the starting area of the Snake Temple. Here you complete the required quest Important Preparations, which unlocks access to the actual dungeon. There's no complex combat mechanic here – use the time to check your inventory and prepare yourself.

Level 2 – Kill Monsters and Remember the Sequence

On Level 2, your goal is: Kill all monsters. Monsters appear in regular groups over approximately 6 to 7 minutes. This level has two important functions for the rest of the dungeon.

Timer extension: Here you have the only opportunity to extend the dungeon timer to 60 minutes. You'll need 50x of the corresponding item for this. Decide this before the run – it's not possible afterwards.

Two critical clues for later levels:

Definitely memorise the sequence of elements (Wind, Fire, Ice, Earth) of the first four monster groups – best write it down or take a screenshot. This clue is crucial for Levels 3 and 7.

Level 3 – Destroy Elemental Snake Metinstones in Correct Sequence

Level 3 is the first direct sequence puzzle. Four elemental snake metinstones are ready: Wind, Fire, Ice and Earth. You must destroy them in the sequence you noted on Level 2.

Important: The sequence is random in every run and different. If you rely on a fixed sequence from previous runs, you'll fail. If you destroy a metinstone in the wrong sequence, all 4 metinstones respawn immediately – you lose time and must start over.

Proceed systematically:

  1. On Level 2, write down the element sequence of the first four monster groups.
  2. On Level 3, find the metinstone of the first element.
  3. Destroy it, then proceed to the second element – and so on.

Level 4 – Metinstones and Clues for Later Levels

On Level 4, more combat awaits: Multiple waves of monsters plus a total of 6 metinstones must be defeated. Here too, the level provides important information for later puzzles.

Two clues from Level 4:

So whilst you're fighting, watch out for the spawn sequence of the metinstones and count the additional ice bosses. If you don't pay attention here, you'll face a puzzle on Levels 5 and 7 with no solution.

Level 5 – Give Snake Keys to Snake Pillars

On Level 5, you fight monsters and collect snake keys in the process. These keys must then be given to the snake pillars in the correct sequence.

You received the correct sequence of pillars on Level 4: it corresponds to the spawn sequence of the 6 metinstones. Give the keys according to this sequence – mistakes cost time or force you to retry.

Level 6 – Free the Blacksmith

On the final level, your goal is: Free the blacksmith. To do this, you need prison keys that you've collected as drops throughout the dungeon. Use the prison keys to free the blacksmith and complete the run successfully.

Make sure you pick up the drops from all levels – prison keys you ignore will be missing at the end on Level 6.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Snake Temple

How many times can I enter the Snake Temple per day?

You can enter the Snake Temple 5 times daily. The limit resets at 0:00. You can also reset your entries to 5 with a specific item if you've already used them.

What happens if I choose the wrong sequence on Level 3?

If you destroy an elemental snake metinstone in the wrong sequence, all 4 metinstones respawn immediately. You must start the entire sequence process from the beginning – time and effort are lost.

How do I know the correct sequence on Level 3?

The sequence is revealed by the elements of the first 4 monster groups on Level 2. The elements (Wind, Fire, Ice, Earth) in the sequence they appear correspond to the sequence of snake metinstones on Level 3. This sequence is random per run.

How do I extend the timer in the Snake Temple?

Only on Level 2 do you have the option to extend the dungeon timer to 60 minutes. You'll need 50x of the corresponding item for this. After that, no extension is possible.

What are the drops in the Snake Temple used for?

Throughout the dungeon, items drop, including prison keys needed on Level 6 to free the blacksmith. Pick up all drops you receive during the run.

What does Level 4 reveal about later levels?

Two things: First, the spawn sequence of the 6 metinstones reveals the sequence of snake pillars on Level 5. Secondly, the number of additional ice bosses (only those that don't respawn in the same boss) provides information about the shift in the snake heads sequence on Level 7.

Does the sequence of puzzles change with every run?

Yes. The sequence of elemental snake metinstones on Level 3 is different in every run. Don't rely on fixed patterns from previous runs – always observe the clues on Level 2 anew.

Where do I start the Snake Temple?

The run starts on the map Snake Temple Level 1. There you must first complete the quest Important Preparations before you can enter the dungeon.
