What is the Jinno Kingdom?
The Jinno Kingdom is one of three playable realms in Metin2 and is represented by the colour blue. When you select Jinno during character creation, you start in the Jinno-exclusive game world and initially only encounter players from the same realm. The other two kingdoms are called Chunjo (yellow) and Shinsoo (red).
Important to know: All three kingdoms are identically structured in terms of monsters, NPCs, Metins and ore veins. Your choice of kingdom does not affect which content you can farm – but rather your PvP situation and the players you interact with.
Map Layout of the Jinno Kingdom
Like every kingdom in Metin2, Jinno consists of exactly three maps:
- Map1 – The first main map of the kingdom, starting area for new characters
- Map2 – The second main map with higher-level content
- Guild Zone – Map specifically for guild activities and guild battles
This structure is identical in Chunjo and Shinsoo. Monster types, Metin stones and ore veins are distributed identically across all kingdom maps – choosing Jinno means you won't miss any exclusive farm spots.
| Kingdom | Colour | Maps | Kingdom Stone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jinno | Blue | Map1, Map2, Guild Zone | Jinno Stone |
| Chunjo | Yellow | Map1, Map2, Guild Zone | Chunjo Stone |
| Shinsoo | Red | Map1, Map2, Guild Zone | Shinsoo Stone |
PvP in the Jinno Kingdom: Attacking Foreign Realms
Once you enter the territory of another kingdom or a player from another kingdom enters your territory, special PvP rules apply. Here are the most important points at a glance:
- Damage Penalty: Players in a foreign kingdom deal 10% less damage. This applies to Jinno players in Chunjo and Shinsoo – and vice versa.
- No Rank Loss: Players from other kingdoms can be attacked at any time without losing rank points. PvP between kingdoms is therefore consequence-free.
- Realm Battles: Once a month, official realm battles take place where all three kingdoms fight each other.
- Competitions: In addition to realm battles, there are further events such as Capture the Frog, Capture the Metin and Merchant Escort.
The Language System: Communicating with Jinno Players
Players from different kingdoms speak different languages in Metin2 by default – so they cannot understand each other directly. For Jinno, this means: Chunjo and Shinsoo players don't understand you at first, and you don't understand them.
There are two ways to overcome the language barrier:
- Language Books: By reading the appropriate language books (e.g. Jinno languages), you learn the language of another kingdom. This allows you to then write and read with players from that kingdom.
- Language Ring: If you can't be bothered with books, you can alternatively use a language ring that enables communication across kingdom boundaries.
The language system is particularly relevant if you want to trade with players from other kingdoms or coordinate with them – for example in cross-realm events.
Realm Battles: PvP at the Highest Level
The realm battle is the central major PvP event in Metin2. Jinno fights against Chunjo and Shinsoo. A realm battle takes place once a month, and often only a specific level range is permitted.
Flow of a Realm Battle Step by Step
- You receive a server message that the realm battle has started.
- Go to the Battle Administrator and register for participation.
- You are teleported to the access map for the realm battle – each kingdom has its own entrance.
- Kill the Evil Yellow Tiger Spirit at the portal to obtain the key to the Sacred Land.
- On the way to the boss monster, you encounter aggressive monsters that match the respective area.
- Drag the key onto the Stolen Gang Seal to open the gate to the Sacred Land.
- You are teleported to the Sacred Land. From this moment on, access is denied to other players from your kingdom.
- In the Sacred Land, all three kingdoms fight each other. The kingdom with the fewest points is eliminated – the other two continue fighting for the crown.
Realm Battle Areas
There are a total of six areas where realm battles can take place:
| Area | Type |
|---|---|
| Access Map Icy Land | Access Area |
| Access Map Fire Land | Access Area |
| Access Map Desert | Access Area |
| Sacred Land Icy Land | Combat Area |
| Sacred Land Fire Land | Combat Area |
| Sacred Land Desert | Combat Area |
The Icy Land areas of the realm battle are only accessible during the event. In these areas, only the bosses are aggressive – the normal monsters do not attack.
The Jinno Stone: Symbol of the Blue Kingdom
Each kingdom in Metin2 has its own kingdom stone. For Jinno, this is the so-called Jinno Stone. The kingdom stones are part of the game world and stand symbolically for the respective kingdom. In addition to the Jinno Stone, there are the Chunjo Stone and the Shinsoo Stone as counterparts of the other kingdoms.
Tips for Jinno Players
- Pay attention to damage penalty: When you are farming or fighting on foreign kingdom territory, you deal 10% less damage. Take this into account in your build if you often venture into enemy areas.
- Obtain language books early: If you plan to trade or communicate across kingdom boundaries, it's worth reading the Jinno language books early or obtaining a language ring.
- Prepare for realm battle: Since battles often have level restrictions, you should keep an eye on server announcements and go to the Battle Administrator in time.
- Found or join a guild: The guild zone is an important part of the Jinno Kingdom. An active guild gives you access to guild battles and other realm-internal events.
- Kingdom switching is not possible: Your choice of kingdom at character creation is permanent. Think carefully about whether Jinno (blue) is the right kingdom for you – or create a second character to test.
