What is the Metin2 Easter Event?
The Easter Event is an annual seasonal event in Metin2 that runs for several weeks during the Easter season. The basic mechanic is simple: Monsters have snatched your Easter eggs – hunt them down and trade the eggs you've collected with the Easter Bunny NPC for rewards. The event is aimed at characters from level 61 and is accessible via the event UI in the game.
The event is among the annual events in Metin2 and is a permanent part of the game year, alongside the Valentine's Day Event, Summer Event, Halloween Event and Christmas Event.
Participation requirements – who can take part?
Not every character can get started straight away. The following requirements must be met:
- Minimum level 61 – Characters below level 61 cannot participate.
- One-time collection of all eggs – on your first visit to the Easter Bunny, you must hand in the eggs you've collected personally.
- Trade at least 30 eggs – Only after trading at least 30 eggs with the Easter Bunny NPC are all functions unlocked. After that, you can conveniently trade further eggs via the event UI.
If you're new to the event, it's worth working specifically towards your first complete egg collection to unlock the NPC trade.
Farm Easter eggs – how it works
Easter eggs drop in two ways:
Normal monsters
Every monster on the game field can drop Easter eggs. The drop rate is lower than with alternative farming sources. If you already know good farming areas and grind there anyway, you'll collect eggs automatically alongside.
Easter Metins and bosses
Metinstones and bosses drop significantly more Easter eggs than normal monsters. Particularly worthwhile are the special Easter Metins that appear during the event:
- On the old continent, 4 Easter Metins spawn per map every hour.
- The chance of Easter eggs is not affected by double drop – so there's no point in using double drop bonuses specifically for the eggs.
For efficient farming: Prioritise Easter Metins and regular bosses. If you systematically work your way through the Metinstones across multiple maps, you'll quickly accumulate larger egg stacks.
| Farming source | Egg drop | Special feature |
|---|---|---|
| Normal monsters | Low | Runs alongside normal grinding |
| Metinstones & bosses | Higher | Most efficient standard source |
| Easter Metins | Highest | Spawn hourly, 4 per map on old continent; no double drop bonus |
The Easter Bunny NPC – hand in eggs and collect rewards
The Easter Bunny is waiting for your collected eggs on Map1. The first time you hand in the eggs directly to the NPC – this is mandatory for unlocking. All further trades then run conveniently via the Event UI (E key or icon next to the mini-map), without having to travel to Map1 every time.
The 20-egg bonus
Anyone who hands in 20 eggs at once receives special rewards in addition to the normal trade premiums. This bonus is the core of an efficient event strategy: collect eggs, don't hand them in individually, but trade them in 20-egg packages.
Level-dependent rewards
The Easter Bunny's rewards are graduated by level groups. The higher your level, the stronger and more valuable the possible items. The wiki lists the following level groups:
| Level group | Normal rewards | Bonus at 20 eggs |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1–18 | Level-adjusted items | Special extra rewards |
| Level 19–30 | Level-adjusted items | Special extra rewards |
| Level 31–52 | Level-adjusted items | Special extra rewards |
| Level 53–74 | Level-adjusted items | Special extra rewards |
| Level 75–90 | Level-adjusted items | Special extra rewards |
| Level 91–105 | Level-adjusted items | Special extra rewards + additional rare chances |
| Level 106–120 | Level-adjusted items (strongest group) | Best extra rewards in the entire event |
Note: The exact item names and drop quantities are displayed in the game itself in the event UI and may vary slightly depending on the event season.
The Event UI – your central control tool
The Event UI was introduced in Metin2 with Update 19.1. It shows you all active events on all servers and channels. You access it via:
- The corresponding key on your keyboard
- The E icon to the left of the mini-map
Clicking on the name of the Easter Event opens the associated event window directly. Once the initial condition is met, you can trade your Easter eggs from there without visiting the Easter Bunny NPC on Map1. Particularly with large egg stacks, this saves considerable time.
Tips for efficient farming in the Easter Event
- Prioritise Easter Metins: The 4 hourly spawns per map on the old continent are the most valuable farming source. Plan a route across multiple maps and work through it hourly.
- Form 20-egg packages: Never hand in fewer than 20 eggs at once if you want to take advantage of the special bonus. Collect first, then trade.
- Don't waste double drop on eggs: Double drop bonuses don't affect the egg drop chance. Use them for normal item farming instead.
- Hand in first 30 eggs to NPC: Remember that you must personally hand in the first 30 eggs to the Easter Bunny on Map1. After that, everything runs via the event UI.
- Level up before the event: If you're close to level 61, you should reach that level before the event starts so you can participate from the beginning. Characters from level 106 have access to the best reward pools.
- Pick up bosses on the way: Regular world map bosses also drop above-average numbers of eggs. Combine your usual boss farming route with event farming.
The Easter Event in the context of annual events
Metin2 offers several annual events throughout the year via the Event UI: Anniversary Event, Valentine's Day Event, Easter Event, Ramadan Event, Summer Event, Blood Moon Event, Halloween Event and Christmas Event. The Easter Event is considered one of the more accessible events, as the core mechanic – farming and trading – requires no special prerequisites beyond level 61. It complements the gaming experience well as a seasonal addition to the normal grinding routine, without disrupting the normal game flow.
Frequently asked questions about the Metin2 Easter Event
From what level can I participate in the Easter Event?
Participation in the Easter Event is exclusively available to characters from level 61. Characters below this level do not receive Easter eggs and cannot use the Easter Bunny NPC.
Where can I find the Easter Bunny NPC?
The Easter Bunny is located on Map1. You must visit him at least once in person to hand in your first collected eggs and unlock the event. After that, you can handle all further trades via the Event UI.
Is double drop worth it for Easter egg farming?
No. The drop chance for Easter eggs is explicitly not affected by double drop bonuses. There's no point in activating double drop specifically for the event.
Why should I hand in 20 eggs at once?
Anyone who hands in exactly 20 eggs at once to the Easter Bunny receives special bonus rewards that are not available when handing in smaller quantities. The 20-egg trade is the most efficient way to get the maximum out of the event.
How often do the Easter Metins spawn?
On the old continent, 4 Easter Metins spawn per map every hour. They are the most abundant source of Easter eggs and should be intercepted regularly.
How do I open the event UI for the Easter Event?
You can access the Event UI via the corresponding key or the E icon to the left of the mini-map. Clicking on the name of the Easter Event opens the associated interface where you can trade eggs.
Are the rewards the same for all levels?
No. The Easter Bunny gives out level-dependent rewards, divided into seven groups from level 1–18 to level 106–120. Higher levels receive stronger and rarer items. The level 91–105 group has an additional chance for rare rewards, level 106–120 gets the best pool.
When does the Easter Event take place?
The Easter Event takes place every year during the Easter season for several weeks. The exact dates are announced annually by Gameforge and can be viewed in the Event UI in the game.
