TL;DR: Dragon Stone Alchemy in Metin2 enhances your character with bonuses through seven stone types across six classes. Improve through class, purity and level.

Dragon Stone Alchemy is a core enhancement system in Metin2: Dragon Stones provide your character with various bonuses that you can further expand through three independent levels – class, purity and level. The system was introduced with version 13.3 on 26 February 2013, expanded with Mythic Alchemy in version 19.0 on 22 January 2019, and received the Dragon Amethyst as a new stone type with version 23.2 on 26 July 2023. From level 30 onwards, you can actively farm Dragon Stones through a daily quest.

What is Dragon Stone Alchemy?

Dragon Stone Alchemy is Metin2's gemstone enhancement system. Dragon Stones are displayed exclusively in the separate Dragon Stone inventory – not in your regular inventory. You open the Dragon Stone inventory via the corresponding button in your inventory, via the chat bar or with a dedicated hotkey.

Each Dragon Stone grants specific bonuses, the number and strength of which are determined by your chosen enhancement levels. Higher classes mean more bonuses, higher purity and level mean stronger bonuses.

The Seven Dragon Stone Types at a Glance

There are seven different types of Dragon Stones, which differ visually by colour and in effect by their function. Each colour has its own focus on specific character attributes.

Dragon Stone types in Metin2
Stone Colour Added
Ruby Red Version 13.3 (Feb 2013)
Sapphire Blue Version 13.3 (Feb 2013)
Jade Green Version 13.3 (Feb 2013)
Diamond White/Clear Version 13.3 (Feb 2013)
Onyx Black Version 13.3 (Feb 2013)
Garnet Dark Red Version 13.3 (Feb 2013)
Amethyst Purple Version 23.2 (Jul 2023)

Important: Each stone type affects different character values. Choose the stone type deliberately based on your character's build.

The Three Enhancement Levels: Class, Purity and Level

The heart of the system consists of three independent levels on which each Dragon Stone can be improved. All three together determine how strong a stone ultimately is.

Class

The class determines how many bonuses a Dragon Stone can possess simultaneously. The higher the class, the more different bonuses the stone carries. The following classes exist in ascending order:

Purity

The purity level determines the strength of the individual bonuses of a stone. With increasing purity, all bonuses of the stone become stronger or the values become higher. Purity and class are independently improvable from each other.

Level

The level of a Dragon Stone also directly increases its effect. Level, purity and class complement each other – a stone at high class, high purity and high level provides maximum values.

Enhancing Dragon Stones: How It Works Visually

The appearance of a Dragon Stone changes visibly with the degree of enhancement. The tables in the game display the progression clearly:

You can see at a glance how far a Dragon Stone has developed – this is especially useful when trading with other players.

Where Do You Get Dragon Stones?

Dragon Stones and Dragon Stone Shards can be obtained in several ways in Metin2.

Daily Dragon Stone Quest

From level 30 onwards, a special Dragon Stone quest is available to you daily. This is the most accessible and consistent way to regularly obtain Dragon Stones. Complete the quest daily to continuously gather materials for alchemy.

Dragon Stone Shards

In addition to whole Dragon Stones, there are Dragon Stone Shards and Dragon Stone Shards+ as materials. These drop in various gameplay areas and are an important resource for alchemy. Dragon Stone Shards are managed in the Dragon Stone inventory, not in your regular inventory.
