TL;DR: The Dragon Diamond is one of six Dragon Stone types in Metin2. It is refined through Dragon Stone Alchemy into six classes (Raw to Mythical) and strengthens your character with specific bonuses.

What is the Dragon Diamond?

The Dragon Diamond is a Dragon Stone in Metin2 and is part of the Dragon Stone Alchemy system. It exists in six quality grades: Raw, Refined, Rare, Ancient, Legendary, and Mythical. Like all Dragon Stones, it is displayed exclusively in the Dragon Stone inventory – not in the regular inventory. Each type of Dragon Stone, including the Diamond, has its own clearly defined effect on the character.

Dragon Stone Alchemy was introduced with version 13.3 on 26 February 2013. With version 19.0 on 22 January 2019, Mythical Alchemy was added. Most recently, on 26 July 2023, version 23.2 added the Dragon Amethyst as a new Stone type.

The Six Dragon Stone Types at a Glance

In the game, there are six different Dragon Stones that differ in their colour and their effect. The Dragon Diamond is one of them. Each type provides different character bonuses, which is why choosing the right stone depends on your build.

Dragon Ruby Red Specific character bonuses (ruby-specific)
Dragon Sapphire Blue Specific character bonuses (sapphire-specific)

The Three Improvement Levels: Class, Purity and Grade

Dragon Stones – and therefore also the Dragon Diamond – are improved on three independent levels. It is important to understand these levels before you invest resources.

1. Class

The class determines how many bonuses a Dragon Stone can have. As the class increases, the stone gains more active bonus slots. The class grades in ascending order are:

A Raw Dragon Diamond therefore has significantly fewer bonus slots than a Mythical Dragon Diamond. Upgrading the class is therefore the most important step in the long term.

2. Purity

The purity of a Dragon Stone affects the strength of the existing bonuses. A higher purity level means: the individual bonuses are numerically stronger. Purity is therefore not a new bonus slot, but a multiplication of existing values.

3. Grade

In addition to class and purity, a Dragon Stone can also be increased in grade. This also increases the effect of the bonuses. Grade and purity thus work in the same direction, but are separate systems.

The three improvement levels of the Dragon Diamond
Level Effect Number of Grades
Class More bonus slots (more different bonuses) 6 (Raw to Mythical)
Purity Stronger bonus values Multiple grades
Grade Stronger bonus values Multiple grades

How Do You Get Dragon Stones?

Dragon Stones can be collected in various ways. The most accessible way for new players is the daily Dragon Stone quest, which is available from level 30 onwards. With this, you can regularly farm stones or materials without relying on events or the shop.

Additionally, there are Dragon Stone fragments as materials that are used in connection with Dragon Stone Alchemy. These fragments drop during gameplay and can be relevant for improving stones.

Opening the Dragon Stone Alchemy Interface

The Dragon Stone Alchemy menu can be opened in three ways:

The system has its own Dragon Stone inventory that exists separately from the regular inventory. Dragon Stones are stored there and take up no regular inventory slots.

Strategy: Which Dragon Diamond Should You Upgrade First?

Since upgrading Dragon Stones costs resources, you should proceed strategically. Generally, the following applies:

Since the Dragon Diamond has a specific effect that differs from other stones, the choice of stone should always be based first on your own character build and desired bonuses – not solely on availability.
