What is Rush?
Rush is one of the six class abilities of the Body Warrior in Metin2. The skill combines two effects: It increases the character's movement speed for a short time extremely and simultaneously performs a stun attack with damage effect. This makes Rush both an offensive skill and a tactical positioning tool. In both PvE and PvP, briefly stunning the target is a clear advantage.
As a Body Warrior, you choose Rush from the pool of six class-specific abilities in your doctrine. You establish the doctrine with the quest "The Training" at Level 5 – after that, the entire Body Warrior skill tree is available to you.
Rush in Context: The Body Warrior Skill Tree
The Body Warrior has the following six abilities in his doctrine. Rush takes a special role in it because it is one of the few skills that offers both stun and increased mobility:
| Ability | Primary Effect | Secondary Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Sword Aura | Attack value increases (based on level and STR) | Buff (Self) |
| Battle Frenzy | Movement & attack speed increases | Defense decreases from Master level |
| Threefold Cut | Triple strike in quick succession | Single target |
| Sword Whirl | Strong area damage | Whirl attack |
| Rush | Stun attack + Damage | Movement speed extremely increased briefly |
| Life Will | Frontal attack | – |
| Earthquake | Frontal attack | – |
Skill Points: How to Level Rush
You receive skill points starting at Level 5 – the quest "The Training" gives you 4 starting points directly. From Level 6 onwards, you get 1 additional point per level gained. You distribute these points across your class abilities via the skills window, including Rush.
Important: As soon as you have allocated at least one point to Rush, you can drag the skill onto the quick access bar (keys 1–4 or F1–F4) or trigger it directly via right-click. Some abilities, including Rush, can alternatively be placed on the left or right mouse button.
The more points you put into Rush, the stronger the skill's effect – higher damage values, stronger or extended stun, and the mana point costs change with the skill level. Each use of the skill costs mana points (mana), after which the skill recharges. The recharge time varies depending on the skill level.
Skill Books: Leveling Rush Beyond Level 17
To level Rush beyond the normal skill points, skill books come into play. You can read all skill books on a 24-hour cycle. The game shows you how long you still have to wait if the cooldown is still running.
If you want to skip the waiting time, you need an Exorcism Scroll. With this, you can bypass the 24-hour cooldown and use the skill book immediately again. This is particularly useful if you want to bring Rush to maximum level quickly.
Note: From the Master level (M2–M10) and the Grand Master level onwards, additional effects occur. These higher levels are lost if you reset your skills through the old woman (more on this in the next section).
Resetting Skills: When Rush Needs to be Redistributed
Anyone who has set their points incorrectly or wants to change their doctrine can reset all skill points against a Yang fee up to and including Level 30 with the old woman in the game. The costs are:
| Level | Costs (Yang) |
|---|---|
| 5 | 20,000 Yang |
| 6 | 22,000 Yang |
| 10 | 30,000 Yang |
| 20 | 50,000 Yang |
| 30 | 70,000 Yang |
Attention: When resetting, you lose all skill points earned through Master levels (M2–M10) and Grand Master levels. You only get the normally distributed points back.
A common mistake: Overskilling – putting more than 17 skill points on a single ability. This blocks the transition to the next level. If Rush doesn't jump to Master level at 17 points, you should use a Skill Redistribution Document or the old woman. If it still doesn't jump afterwards, you can repeat the process directly with the old woman – this way you don't lose any skill points.
Using Rush Optimally: Practical Tips
Rush is one of the most versatile skills of the Body Warrior. Here are concrete recommendations from the community:
- Opener in Combat: Use Rush as your first skill to quickly get close to your opponent and stun them immediately. This gives you valuable seconds for follow-up skills like Threefold Cut or Sword Whirl.
- PvP Use: The brief stun interrupts enemy skill animations. This makes Rush particularly valuable against other players.
- Configure Quick Access: Place Rush on an easily accessible key (1–4 or F1–F4) or directly on a mouse button to maximize reaction time.
- Keep Mana in Mind: Since Rush consumes mana, keep your mana resource management in check – especially during longer dungeons or farming sessions.
- Combination with Battle Frenzy: Activate Battle Frenzy for increased attack speed and then use Rush – the combination maximizes your burst damage on single targets.
Rush vs. Other Body Warrior Skills: Priority in Skill Allocation
As a Body Warrior, you face the decision of how to distribute your limited skill points. Rush primarily competes with Sword Aura (permanent attack buff) and Sword Whirl (area damage for group farming).
For single combat and PvP, Rush is highly prioritizable due to the stun. For pure AoE farming (e.g., Metins or group dungeons), Sword Whirl can be more important. Since you only receive one skill point per level, it makes sense to supply Rush with points early to reliably use the stun.
If you're still unsure, you can reset your skills up to Level 30 with the old woman and adjust the distribution anytime – as long as you can afford the Yang costs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does Rush do in Metin2?
Rush is a skill of the Body Warrior that extremely increases movement speed briefly, performs a stun attack and deals damage in the process. It can be used for both mobility and crowd control.
At what level can I start leveling Rush?
From Level 5 onwards, you can complete the quest "The Training", choose your doctrine and distribute the first 4 skill points to Rush or other Body Warrior skills.
How many skill points do I need for Rush at Master level?
The ability must be brought to 17 points for the transition to Master level to be triggered. The transition is not guaranteed – if it doesn't jump, you should use a Skill Redistribution Document or the old woman.
What happens if I put more than 17 points into Rush?
This is called "overskilling". Putting more than 17 points on an ability blocks the promotion to Master level. In this case, you must reset your skills and redistribute them.
How do I reset Rush if I've allocated skills incorrectly?
Up to Level 30, you can reset all skill points with the old woman in the game for Yang. Alternatively, there is a Skill Redistribution Document. Note: Master and Grand Master levels are lost in the process.
What does the skill reset cost at the old woman?
The price starts at 20,000 Yang at Level 5 and increases by 2,000 Yang per level. At Level 30, the reset costs 70,000 Yang.
How can I bypass the 24-hour waiting time when reading skill books?
With an Exorcism Scroll, you can skip the 24-hour cooldown. This allows you to read the skill book for Rush immediately again.
Is Rush also suitable for PvP?
Yes. The stun effect of Rush interrupts enemy skill animations and gives you a tactical advantage in PvP. Combined with other Body Warrior skills, Rush is a strong opener in player-versus-player combat.
