The rewards and the strength of the opponents have been adjusted accordingly. The solo dungeons have also been reworked to focus on skill advancement scrolls and old enchanting materials.
The following dungeons are closing their doors:
Training grounds belonging to the listed dungeons will be removed from the game accordingly. Dungeon Gauntlets will also be removed with this update for the time being.
There’s also new gear to be had in patch 102: Kaia’s Soul Gear! To kick things off a weapon and armor will be available in January, with hand and foot armor following in patch 103. New items (accessories) are currently not planned for this set.
The Kaia’s Soul set is an upgrade to Kaia’s Wisdom/Fury Gear and works as follows:
If you fulfill these requirements, you can upgrade your gear with a single click (100% chance of success). The new item will be immediately bound to you, but it can be liberated five times (used number is reset).
The upgrade transforms your item into a Kaia’s Soul item with 0 of 3 possible random options, regardless of whether the original item had 0 or 3 options.
Etchings and fusion options are also lost when upgrading. However, new options and etchings can be added using the existing systems.
Kaia’s Soul Gear can be enchanted up to +9 and will never lose an enchantment level that has already been reached. So if you have reached +8, you will be able to reach an even higher level but you will never fall back to +7!
Other than this one alteration, the system remains unchanged. Only the materials and their sources are new:
Item | Function | Source |
---|---|---|
Lumikan’s Wing Fragment | Upgrading, enchanting (0-9) | Catalepticon, Azart Force Loot Chest, Triumph Token Collector |
Lumikan’s Horn Piece | Enchanting (6-9) | Catalepticon (Hard), Azart Force War Trophy Chest, Triumph Token Collector |
Magic Alloy | Enchanting (0-6), repairing (0-6) | Draakon Arena, Catalepticon, Corrupted Skynest, Forbidden Arena [Undying Warlord], Development Merchant, Triumph Token Collector |
Magic Ingot | Enchanting (6-9), repairing (6-9) | Bahaar’s Sanctum, Catalepticon (Hard), Ruinous Manor (Hard), Corrupted Skynest (Hard), Development Merchant, Triumph Token Collector |
The chances of success when enchanting are shown in game, and a familiar feature is making a return: enchantment correction. Each unsuccessful enchantment attempt slightly increases your chances of success the next time you try!
The system is identical to the current one. However, there will be new scrolls that allow options on gear to be redone.
The functions and sources of the scrolls are as follows:
Item | Function | Source |
---|---|---|
Kaia’s Soul Cryolite | Keep Kaia’s Soul Gear option | Extraction from Kaia’s Soul Gear +6 and higher, Triumph Token Collector |
Soul Option Change Scroll [Weapon, Armor] | Change all options at random (number remains unchanged) | Draakon Arena, Catalepticon, Corrupted Skynest, Forbidden Arena [Undying Warlord], Triumph Token Collector |
Soul Greedhead’s Option Change Scroll [Weapon, Armor] | Change all options, desired options can be retained | Bahaar’s Sanctum, Catalepticon (Hard), Ruinous Manor (Hard), Corrupted Skynest (Hard), Triumph Token Collector |
Unstable Soul Option Change Scroll [Weapon, Armor] | Change all options and number of options at random | Commander’s Residence, Gossamer Vault (Easy), Akalath Quarantine, Ruinous Manor (Hard), Triumph Token Collector |
While you can no longer drop to a lower level from enchantment levels +7, +8, and +9, they are time-consuming to reach—and for good reason: reaching these levels activates additional powerful effects that grant you an advantage in instances.
Item Type | Enchantment | Effect |
---|---|---|
All | 7 | 1% increased attack speed |
All – tank and physical damage | 8 | Increased physical amplification (number varies depending on the item) |
All – healer and magic damage | 8 | Increased magic amplification (number varies depending on the item) |
Weapon – tank and physical damage | 9 | Critical hits increase your “ignore physical resistance” by 18,000 for 15 seconds (60-second cooldown) |
Weapon – healer | 9 | Critical hits increase your magic resistance by 20,000 for 15 seconds (60-second cooldown) |
Weapon – magic damage | 9 | Critical hits increase your “ignore magic resistance” by 18,000 for 15 seconds (60-second cooldown) |
Armor | 9 | You are invincible for 3 seconds after being resurrected |
Hand Armor | 9 | 30% chance of critical hits increasing your attack speed by 20 for 15 seconds (60-second cooldown, cannot overlap with Lein’s Dark Root Beer) |
Foot Armor | 9 | If your HP falls below 40%, you receive a protective shield that absorbs up to 50,000 damage for 2 seconds (300-second cooldown) |
To make the road to new gear a little easier for all players—both newcomers and veterans—the following changes have been made:
Many other elements relating to the old armor set have also been adapted, including:
There have also been lots of changes to existing items:
Two new cards have been added—each in all three rarities. These can only be obtained in the corresponding instances.
