TL;DR: In the Metin2 World Boss Event, powerful bosses appear on neutral maps. Minimum damage: 250,000 – Rewards: Tiger Coins & +20% Attack Value for 3 hours.

What is the World Boss Event?

The World Boss Event brings powerful bosses to neutral zones in Metin2, which can only be defeated in groups. Bagjanamu, Polyphemos, Azrael, Dragon Warden Idall and the Great Ogre challenge entire player armies. Anyone who deals at least 250,000 damage qualifies for rewards – including Tiger Coins and valuable items. The event is part of Metin2's Event Systems and is permanently active on certain servers.

Permanent Servers: Azrael & Tigerghost

On the servers Azrael and Tigerghost, the World Boss Event runs permanently – without interruption from seasonal patches. All other servers can activate the event with different settings and times. The permanent servers have fixed game rules:

Server settings for Azrael & Tigerghost (permanent)
Parameter Value
Spawn time window 4 hours (boss appears at some point within)
Defeat time limit Within the 4-hour window
Cooldown after boss 2 hours (no new boss possible)
Minimum damage for reward 250,000 damage

On other servers, start time, time window and other settings may vary. Check the Event UI to see if the event is currently active on your server.

World Bosses at a Glance

Five different bosses can appear in the World Boss Event. Which boss appears is determined randomly – as is the map. This makes every session unique and requires flexibility from the entire player community.

Known World Bosses in the Metin2 World Boss Event
Boss Description
Bagjanamu Powerful world boss, requires coordinated group attacks
Polyphemos Gigantic opponent, requires many players to defeat
Azrael Namesake of one of the permanent servers
Dragon Warden Idall Dragon-powered world boss with high HP pool
Great Ogre Massive ogre boss, requires mass DPS

Possible Maps (Spawn Areas)

The World Boss appears on one of four possible maps. The selection is random with each spawn. Be ready to quickly switch to the announced zone as soon as the server message appears:

All four zones are neutral areas where PvP is possible under certain conditions. Plan your route there in advance and watch for the server message announcing the exact spawn.

Event Procedure Step by Step

The World Boss does not appear immediately when the time window starts, but randomly at some point within the announced 4 hours. This means: attention is key. Here is the complete procedure:

  1. Time window begins: The event system announces the period during which the boss can appear. Use the Event UI (key E or the E icon next to the minimap) to get an overview of active events.
  2. Boss spawns: The World Boss appears randomly on one of the four possible maps. A server message informs all players about the boss type and spawn location.
  3. Travel to the boss: Head to the specified map immediately. Time is critical – the boss despawns if not defeated in time.
  4. Reach minimum damage: Deal at least 250,000 damage to the World Boss to qualify for a reward. Fall short and you get nothing.
  5. Defeat the boss: Work together with other players to defeat the boss within the 4-hour time window.
  6. Complete the quest: Complete the quest "Defeat the World Boss!" Reward: +20% Attack Value for 3 hours.
  7. Claim your reward: The World Boss reward must be claimed before the next boss appears – otherwise it expires.

Rewards: What is There to Win?

The World Boss Event offers two types of rewards. Immediately after the kill and at the end of a season – those who participate consistently benefit twice over.

World Boss Reward (immediately after kill)

The players with the most damage dealt receive the best rewards. All participants who have reached the minimum damage of 10 do not go away empty-handed. Rewards include:

Ranking Reward (Season end)

At the end of a season, additional ranking rewards are given. Anyone who regularly participates in the World Boss Event throughout the season and deals high damage improves their chances for season bonuses. Details on current ranking rewards can be found in the official Event System Overview.

Tips for Maximum Damage and Rewards

The World Boss Event is a DPS competition. Those who rank high get the best drops. These points will help you beat the competition:

World Boss Event in the Context of All Events

The World Boss Event is one of many Event Systems in Metin2. It counts as one of the "miscellaneous event systems" alongside the Battle Royale mode, the Boss Hunter Event and others. Unlike annual events such as the Halloween Event or the Christmas Event, the World Boss Event is permanently available on the Azrael and Tigerghost servers – making it the most reliable endgame farming option in the entire event system. You can view active events at any time via the Event UI (key E, available in the game since update 19.1).
