TL;DR: The December 2014 Raffle is a Metin2 IS event with daily tickets, free tickets from level 30, and blue tickets with bonus chances. Every ticket guarantees a prize.

The December 2014 Raffle is a temporary event system in Metin2 that is accessible exclusively through the in-game item shop. Basically, any account can participate, although the conditions for obtaining free tickets differ depending on level. Every drawn ticket guarantees a prize – either an item directly to the item shop storage or a lucky symbol that can be collected and exchanged for further prizes.

Participation Requirements: Who Can Join?

Basically, any account can participate in the raffle. However, there are two different ways to get the coveted daily free ticket:

Neither method is excluded from the start – the second method simply requires a bit more consistency and initial DM investment.

How Does the Raffle Work? Basic Mechanics Explained

The raffle can only be opened in-game via the item shop. It is part of the IS promotions, which along with the advent calendar, count among the seasonal event systems in Metin2.

Important for daily planning: A new raffle day begins at 04:00 AM each day. A limited number of purchasable tickets are available per day. In addition to the daily free ticket, further tickets can be purchased with DM (Dragon Marbles).

A handy feature: The tickets for the next day can already be purchased one day earlier and at a cheaper price. Those who plan ahead save real money here.

Ticket Costs at a Glance

After the first five tickets of a day, four more tickets can be purchased. The costs for these additional tickets are as follows:

Ticket costs for the December 2014 Raffle (additional tickets after the first 5)
Ticket No. (additional) Cost in DM
1st additional ticket 45 DM
2nd additional ticket 51 DM
3rd additional ticket 69 DM
4th additional ticket 69 DM

In total, up to 5 regular tickets plus 4 more tickets are available per day – plus the daily free ticket for eligible players.

Guaranteed Prize: What's in Every Ticket?

A key feature of the raffle is the prize guarantee: Every ticket guarantees a prize. There are two possible prizes per ticket:

Which of the two prizes occurs depends on chance – but walking away empty-handed is not possible.

The Blue Ticket – Special Ticket with Triple Bonus

While drawing, there is a chance to randomly encounter a blue ticket. These do not appear on demand, but purely at random. A blue ticket brings three advantages at once:

  1. You receive a lucky symbol.
  2. You receive an additional regular prize.
  3. The chance of winning the daily prize doubles.

Additionally, blue tickets can be collected. If you have collected 5 blue tickets, you can exchange them for one to three free spins on the Wheel of Fate. The Wheel of Fate is another game element that is linked to the raffle event.

Advantages of a blue ticket compared to a regular ticket
Feature Regular Ticket Blue Ticket
Lucky Symbol Possible (random) Guaranteed
Regular Prize Possible (random) Guaranteed (additional)
Daily Prize Chance Base Chance Double Chance
Collectible for Wheel Spin No Yes (5 tickets = 1–3 free spins)

Lucky Symbols: Collect, Redeem, Reroll

Lucky symbols are a separate collection system within the raffle. Once you have collected three lucky symbols, a corresponding prize is assigned based on the score achieved.

Important: The prize must be actively redeemed. If you don't do this, you can't draw any more tickets – the system blocks progress until the prize is claimed.

If you're not satisfied with the lucky symbol prize you received, you can reroll for a fee of 5 DM (Dragon Marbles). This rerolling is possible as many times as you want, as long as you're willing to pay the cost. This allows you to work towards a specific prize – if you have the necessary DM budget.

Classification: Raffle as Part of Metin2's Event Systems

The December 2014 Raffle belongs to the category of IS promotions within Metin2's event systems. Besides the raffle, the advent calendar also belongs there. Both events are temporary systems that are only active during special promotional periods.

The overarching event systems in Metin2 encompass a wide range – from annual events like the Christmas Event to mini-games, event dungeons, and game team events. The raffle is a purely item-shop-based format without direct in-game movement or combat – ideal for players who want to snag something quickly between sessions.

For those who want to keep track of current events, use the event UI, which came with update 19.1. This allows you to view all active events on all servers and channels – accessed via the "E" key to the left of the mini-map.
