What is the Summer Raffle 2015?
The Summer Raffle 2015 is a temporary event system in Metin2 that is accessible exclusively through the in-game item shop. Every ticket played guarantees a prize – either an item that goes directly to your item shop storage, or a lucky symbol. The event is open to all accounts, but offers different entry points depending on your level and quest progress.
A new raffle day begins daily at 04:00 AM. The raffle can only be accessed in-game through the item shop interface – there is no external access.
Eligibility Requirements – How to Get Started
There are two ways to participate in the Summer Raffle 2015. Which path applies to you depends on your level and quest progress:
Path 1: Free Ticket for Level 30+ Players with Quest
If you are at least level 30 and completed the quest "The Biologist's Research (Orc Fang)" before 16 June 2015, you receive a free ticket automatically every day. This free ticket costs no Dragon Marks (DM) and can be claimed every day.
Path 2: Free Ticket Through Daily Purchases (Under Level 30 or Without Quest)
Players who do not meet the requirements for an automatic free ticket can earn one through persistence: if you purchase at least one ticket per day for 7 consecutive days, you receive a free ticket every day starting on day 8. This path is available to every account regardless of level.
| Condition | Requirement | Free Ticket From |
|---|---|---|
| Level 30+ with Orc Fang quest (before 16.06.2015) | Quest completed | Immediately every day |
| All other accounts | 7 consecutive days buying at least 1 ticket | From day 8 every day |
Ticket Costs – How Much Do Tickets Cost?
In addition to the daily free ticket, every player can purchase additional tickets with Dragon Marks (DM) per day. A practical pre-purchase system applies: tickets for the next day – five in total – can be purchased one day earlier at a discounted price.
After these first five tickets, four more tickets can be purchased on a single day. These cost 45 DM, 51 DM and 69 DM twice.
| Ticket Number (Additional) | Cost in DM |
|---|---|
| 1st additional ticket | 45 DM |
| 2nd additional ticket | 51 DM |
| 3rd additional ticket | 69 DM |
| 4th additional ticket | 69 DM |
Guaranteed Prizes – What Every Ticket Wins
A key feature of the Summer Raffle 2015 is the prize guarantee: every ticket wins a prize. There are no losing tickets. The prize is either:
- An item that is automatically placed in the account's item shop storage, or
- a lucky symbol that can be collected for the lucky symbol system.
Which specific items are in the prize list depends on the daily offering. Daily prizes are advertised separately and offer the chance to win particularly valuable rewards.
Blue Tickets – Special Mechanic with Triple Advantage
When playing the raffle, a blue ticket can randomly appear. This special variant does not occur guaranteed, but appears purely by chance. A blue ticket brings three advantages at once:
- You receive a lucky symbol.
- You receive an additional regular prize.
- Your chance of winning the daily prize doubles.
You can also collect blue tickets. Once you have collected 5 blue tickets, you can exchange them for one to three free spins on the wheel of fate. This makes consistent play over several days particularly rewarding.
Lucky Symbols – The Raffle's Bonus System
Lucky symbols are a second layer of prizes within the raffle. They are collected through tickets and reveal their value once three symbols are together. With three lucky symbols, you receive a corresponding prize based on the points total achieved.
Important: This prize must be claimed actively. If you forget, you cannot play any more tickets – the system is blocked until the lucky symbol prize is collected.
Alternatively, when you have three symbols, you have the option to re-roll to try for a better points combination. Re-rolling costs 5 Dragon Marks (DR) per attempt and can be repeated as many times as you are willing to pay for it.
Integration into Metin2's Event System
The Summer Raffle 2015 belongs to the category of item-shop actions within Metin2's event system. Besides the raffle, this also includes the advent calendar. Item-shop actions differ from regular annual events such as the summer event or Halloween event in that they are primarily controlled through the item shop.
Active events can be viewed in the event UI, which came into the game with update 19.1. It is accessible via the corresponding key or the "E" symbol to the left of the mini-map. Through the event UI you can switch directly to the respective event interface.
If you want to participate regularly in such actions, you should keep an eye on the event overview, as raffle events are seasonal and have limited availability.
Tips for Efficient Participation
- Don't forget your free ticket: The daily free ticket expires if not claimed. It's worth logging in daily.
- Buy tickets in advance: Pre-purchase tickets for the next day are cheaper. Plan ahead and save DM.
- Collect blue tickets: Don't claim them immediately, but deliberately collect 5 tickets for a free spin on the wheel of fate.
- Claim lucky symbol prize immediately: If you forget to collect your symbol prize, you cannot play any more tickets. Claim the prize right after it appears.
- Only re-roll on poor symbols: 5 DR per roll can add up. Only re-roll if the current points total is significantly below your desired prize.
- Complete quest requirement early: If you haven't completed the Orc Fang quest yet, you should do so before the deadline of 16 June 2015 to secure the automatic free ticket.
