TL;DR: Metin2 Christmas costumes are offered in the Item Shop during the Christmas event. They are available for all playable classes – Ninja, Sura, Shaman, Warrior and Lycan – in various colours and designs.

Metin2 Christmas costumes are seasonal costumes available exclusively during the Christmas event via the Item Shop. They come in several variants: classic Christmas costumes in red, green and black, snowman costumes, Santa Frostie costumes, winter garments, winter dresses and festive robes – each tailored to all classes. The costumes are complemented by matching headwear such as Christmas hairstyles, pom-pom beanies, pom-pom hoods or Christmas hoods.

How and when are Christmas costumes available?

Christmas costumes in Metin2 are time-limited items. They appear exclusively during the Christmas event in the Item Shop from Gameforge. Outside the event phase, they cannot be purchased directly. Gameforge communicates the exact start and end dates of the Christmas event through official channels and the game website. It is worth keeping an eye on the event to not miss the purchase period. Some costumes can be permanently stored in the character's costume inventory after purchase.

Classic Christmas Costumes – Red, Green and Black

The most original Christmas costumes in Metin2 are the classic variants in three colour options. They are available for the four male classes: Ninja, Sura, Shaman and Warrior. Each colour has its own appearance, tailored to the respective class.

The black Christmas costumes are worn in-game together with the snowman mask or Santa Frostie mask, giving them a special appearance. The Lycan is not represented in these three classic variants.

Snowman Costume and Santa Frostie Costume

In addition to the classic Christmas costumes, there are two other standalone winter designs: the snowman costume and the Santa Frostie costume. Both are available for all five playable classes – including the Lycan, who is missing from the classic colour variants.

The snowman costume gives the character a round, snowman-like appearance. It is combined in-game with the matching snowman mask. The Santa Frostie costume is another interpretation of the winter theme and is worn with the Santa Frostie mask.

Winter Garments and Winter Dresses

The winter garments were introduced with the 2017 Christmas event and have been a permanent part of the seasonal offering since then. They come in two colour variants: red and blue. Each winter garment is worn together with a matching pom-pom beanie.

Additionally, there are winter dresses available in red and blue. These are combined with a matching pom-pom hood. Winter dresses are available for Ninja, Sura, Shaman and Warrior – the Lycan is not listed here.

Festive Robes – Male and Female Variants

Another category of Christmas costumes is the festive robes. They exist in a male (m) and female (w) version and differ in cut and headwear. The festive robes come in two colours:

The female festive robes differ visually from their male counterparts through different headwear – instead of a hood, a Christmas beret is worn. The exact availability of all female variants should be checked in the Item Shop during the respective event.

Equipping Costumes in the Costume Inventory

All Christmas costumes are equipped via the costume inventory, which is a separate inventory window in-game. The costume system in Metin2 allows you to make visual changes to your character without replacing your actual equipment. The costume is worn over your normal gear. When you purchase a Christmas costume, you place it in the costume slot of your inventory and can switch it at any time. Matching headwear – pom-pom beanies, masks or hoods – are also equipped in the costume inventory in the respective head slot.

Learn more about the general costume system in our Costumes Guide. For related Item Shop offerings, check out our Item Shop Overview.

Which Class Wears Which Costume?

Not all Christmas costumes are available across all classes. As a general rule:

Lycan players therefore have a more limited, but still solid selection of Christmas costumes. If you specifically have a Lycan character, you should focus on the costumes that are explicitly offered for this class.

Find more information about individual classes in our guides for Ninja, Warrior and other classes.

Frequently Asked Questions About Metin2 Christmas Costumes

When are Christmas costumes available in Metin2?

Christmas costumes are available exclusively during the Christmas event in the Item Shop. Gameforge announces the event start date through the official website and in-game messages.

Where do I buy Metin2 Christmas costumes?

Exclusively through the Item Shop in-game. During the event phase, the respective costumes are listed and can be purchased with the appropriate in-game currency.

Can the Lycan wear all Christmas costumes?

No. The Lycan is not available for some costumes – for example, the classic Christmas costumes in red, green and black, as well as winter dresses. Available for the Lycan include the snowman costume, Santa Frostie costume, winter garments and festive robes (m).

What headwear belongs with the Christmas costumes?

Depending on the costume, there are different types of headwear: Christmas hairstyles (with classic costumes), pom-pom beanies (with winter garments), pom-pom hoods (with winter dresses), Christmas hoods (with festive robes m), Christmas berets (with festive robes w), as well as snowman masks and Santa Frostie masks.

Do Christmas costumes provide bonuses to stats like defence or attack?

The wiki sources contain no information about stat bonuses for Christmas costumes. Costumes in Metin2 are primarily cosmetic items. Whether specific Christmas costumes provide bonuses should be checked directly in the Item Shop or in-game.

How do I equip a Christmas costume?

Via the costume inventory in-game. The costume is placed in the costume slot and is then visible on your character. The matching headwear is placed separately in the head slot of the costume inventory.

What is the difference between winter garment and winter dress?

The winter garment is designed for all classes in Metin2 and is also available for the Lycan. The winter dress is only available for Ninja, Sura, Shaman and Warrior – not for the Lycan. Visually, they differ in the cut and silhouette of the costumes.

Are there Christmas costumes for female characters?

Yes. There are festive robes explicitly marked as female (w), for example the Red Festive Robe (w) with Christmas Beret. Other costumes like winter garments and snowman costumes work across classes and adapt to the character model.
