Why Change Island?
There are various reasons for changing islands: better neighbours, a different luxury resource, proximity to alliance members or simply a fresh start at a more strategically favourable location. The relocation function makes it possible without losing game progress — all buildings, research and troops are retained.
Common reasons for relocating: you are surrounded by hostile players, your alliance has its base in a different region, or you want to move to an island with a luxury resource you need more urgently. Sometimes relocation is also sensible after a server merge when the new neighbourhood does not suit you.
Requirements
For relocation you need a free building slot on the target island and sufficient resources for the relocation process. Your town must not be besieged or blocked by a naval blockade. Check the target island carefully beforehand: who are the neighbours? What luxury resource is there? How high is the island resource level?
Moving to an island with aggressive players can be worse than your current location. Visit the island view and check the profiles of the resident players. Are they in a friendly alliance? Are they active? Are their point scores within your range?
Carrying Out the Relocation
Relocation is initiated via the Town Hall. Select the target island and confirm the move. During transport you have limited ability to act — plan the move for a time without imminent attacks. The process takes several hours, during which you cannot manage your town normally.
Troops and resources are moved with you. Ongoing construction orders are paused and resumed after the move. Inform your alliance members before relocating — they can help protect you during the vulnerable transport phase.
